UK Servers is a long-established British dedicated hosting, private cloud, colocation, and network infrastructure provider operated by UK Dedicated Servers Limited. The company was founded in 2004 by David Howes, who remains Founder and Technical Director as well as an active company director. UK Dedicated Servers Limited was incorporated on November 18, 2004, under company number 05291070. Since 2021, UK Dedicated Servers Holdings Ltd has held 75% or more of the operating company's shares.

The business started with its first colocated server at Redbus Meridian Gate in London's Docklands. A 24/7 Coventry Network Operations Center followed in 2009, and the infrastructure subsequently developed into company-operated data centers, a multi-site network, and a considerably broader enterprise hosting portfolio. The newest major facility, Continuity House in Coventry, opened at the beginning of 2023. The network now supports more than 10,000 servers and over 85,000 hosted domains.

UK Servers has evolved considerably beyond its original dedicated-server focus. The current portfolio covers Linux Dedicated Servers, Windows Dedicated Servers, cPanel Servers, Low-Latency Servers, Proxmox Servers, High-Bandwidth Servers, Managed WordPress Servers, GPU Servers, Magento Servers, Storage Servers, Private Cloud, Server Replication, Managed Databases, Load-Balanced Hosting, Colocation and IP Connectivity. Additional infrastructure services include server management, backups, firewalls, VPN connectivity, DDoS mitigation and ServerShield WAF protection.

Linux Dedicated Servers remain one of the core services. Systems use enterprise Supermicro hardware and can be configured with Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC processors, ECC memory, SSD, HDD or NVMe storage, IPv4 and IPv6, private VLANs, IPMI/KVM access and 1Gb/s or 10Gb/s networking. Standard configurations can be deployed the same day and operate without a long minimum service term. Available operating systems include AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, FreeBSD, Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, while cPanel/WHM and Plesk can be added where required.

Windows Dedicated Servers use the same bare-metal approach, with full administrator access and Microsoft licensing suitable for Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Remote Desktop Services and ASP.NET applications. Hardware ranges from economical systems through high-frequency Intel Xeon servers to larger AMD EPYC platforms.

The dedicated cPanel Server range combines cPanel/WHM licensing with full root access and Foundation management. These systems are particularly useful for agencies, hosting businesses and organizations consolidating multiple websites while retaining complete control of the physical server.

Low-Latency Servers are hosted at Telehouse in London Docklands, close to important UK Internet exchanges and financial-network infrastructure. They use 10Gb/s or 20Gb/s interfaces and are well suited to financial trading, Forex, HFT, blockchain nodes and other latency-sensitive applications. The service operates on monthly rolling terms and includes the 100% network and power SLA.

High-Bandwidth Servers target CDN, video delivery, SaaS, gaming, storage and other traffic-intensive workloads. Connectivity options extend through 10Gb/s, 20Gb/s, 40Gb/s and custom dual-100Gb/s configurations, with very large transfer allowances available on higher-end deployments.

Proxmox Servers provide dedicated virtualization hosts with full root access, virtual machines and containers, optional clustering and Proxmox Backup Server integration. Proxmox is also central to the company's private-cloud architecture.

Managed WordPress Hosting is based on dedicated single-tenant infrastructure rather than conventional shared WordPress accounts. These systems include Enhanced Management, RAID storage configurations, cPanel/WHM for a single domain, migration assistance, monitoring and caching options. They are aimed primarily at busy websites, agencies and business applications that need dedicated resources and ongoing management.

Magento Servers use the same managed dedicated model for e-commerce workloads. NVMe storage, Enhanced Management and cPanel/WHM are included, while Redis, LiteSpeed, LiteMage and Elasticsearch can form part of the application stack.

GPU Servers extend the service into AI, machine learning, CUDA processing, scientific simulation, rendering and VDI. Standard configurations use NVIDIA L4 GPUs, with alternative accelerators available for customized deployments.

Storage Servers combine high-capacity SATA arrays with SSD or NVMe storage and network connectivity that can reach 100Gb/s. They are suitable for backup repositories, NAS, SAN, iSCSI, media archives and large data sets.

The enterprise portfolio is considerably broader than conventional server rental. Private Cloud Hosting uses Proxmox virtualization with Ceph distributed storage on dedicated, single-tenant hardware. Data remains inside UK facilities, while compute and storage are monitored and managed around the clock. Multi-site designs are available for organizations requiring additional resilience. Entry configurations use three hypervisor nodes, while larger platforms can scale to multi-terabyte memory footprints and large NVMe storage clusters.

Failover Server Replication continuously mirrors systems between physical hosts using Proxmox and ZFS, with automated failover options available. Managed Database Hosting supports MySQL, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server with single-server, mirrored and clustered architectures, automated backups, point-in-time recovery, encryption and private network connectivity.

Load-Balanced Hosting combines multiple web and database servers with Layer 4 or Layer 7 load balancing, HTTPS offload, caching, session persistence, replication and automated failover. This makes UK Servers suitable for workloads that have progressed beyond a single dedicated machine but do not necessarily require a public hyperscale cloud.

Security and management options are extensive. Backup environments can use Proxmox Backup Server, Veeam and JetBackup. Firewall services include virtual pfSense high-availability configurations and Juniper SRX hardware. VPN options range from individual OpenVPN profiles to dedicated VPN appliances and site-to-site IPsec links.

ServerShield WAF adds an anycast reverse-proxy security layer with bot filtering, threat intelligence, geographic and ASN blocking, rate limiting, SSL offload, WordPress and Magento WAF rules, and its own management interface.

Colocation remains another important part of the business. Customers can colocate a single machine, rent fractional rack space or use an entire private lockable rack. Remote hands, redundant power feeds, IP transit, BGP, Layer 2 connectivity and continuous facility access are available according to the selected configuration.

The customer environment is in English and prices are denominated in British pounds (GBP). No multi-language/localized version exists. VAT is added where applicable.

UK Servers is therefore much closer to a specialized infrastructure provider than a mass-market shared-hosting company. The strongest fit is for customers needing dedicated bare metal, private infrastructure, high bandwidth, low latency, colocation or managed enterprise hosting rather than inexpensive shared hosting.
