Tarana Tech is a Saudi hosting, cloud and information-technology company headquartered in Riyadh. Founded in 2013 by Khaled Alumairy, the company combines more than 18 years of technical experience across hosting, server administration, software development and digital services. Its operating figures include approximately 4,375 supported customers, 5,420 developed websites and 8,613 active or completed service subscriptions.

The service range extends far beyond traditional web hosting. Tarana handles Linux hosting, Windows hosting, reseller hosting, cloud servers, dedicated servers, server management, domain registration, secure business email, external backup, malware protection, website development, mobile applications, e-commerce systems and digital-transformation projects.

The Linux shared-hosting range is organized under the UNLIMITED name. UNLIMITED-M supports one domain, while UNLIMITED-L and the business package accommodate larger multi-domain projects. These packages combine storage, data transfer, email accounts, databases, cPanel, internal backups, external backups and migration assistance for one website.

The unlimited terminology applies to ordinary website usage rather than unrestricted server consumption. Each account remains subject to defined CPU, RAM, temporary-memory and process limits. These resource allocations are more important than the storage label when comparing plans for demanding WordPress sites, online stores or applications with heavy database activity.

Linux hosting uses Nginx for static files and Apache for dynamic PHP processing. Customers can also connect their websites to Cloudflare for CDN delivery and additional filtering. Account density is limited on each shared server, while an intrusion-detection and traffic-filtering layer blocks suspicious connections before they reach customer applications.

Linux and Windows systems are available, together with custom operating-system installations, migration, security hardening, monitoring and optional flood or DDoS protection.

The managed-infrastructure service covers considerably more than routine operating-system maintenance. Technical work can include load balancing, MySQL replication, DNS administration, mail-server administration, Docker, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, OpenShift, network storage and NFS environments.

Basic server management is included and mainly covers hardware, operating-system and network availability. Advanced Level 1 management costs SAR 200 per month, while more complex corporate environments require individual pricing. Fully managed configurations can involve restricted administrative access, allowing Tarana to maintain control over system security and configuration.

The data-protection service keeps backup copies outside the primary hosting environment. Shared and reseller customers receive automatic internal and external backups, while dedicated servers, cloud systems and infrastructure hosted with other providers can use separate backup capacity. Restorations can cover a complete account or selected files and databases through cPanel.

Tarana Live Scanner checks content uploaded through FTP, cPanel and PHP applications. It can scan email attachments, detect malicious files during upload and remove infected content automatically. Scheduled scans can also inspect existing account data, which is useful for WordPress installations and other PHP applications commonly targeted by automated attacks.

Domain services cover more than fifteen extensions and include an Arabic management panel, nameserver control, DNS management, transfer authorization codes, renewal reminders, automatic renewal and registrations extending for as long as ten years. Bulk searches can check the availability of up to twenty domain names at one time.

The company also builds custom websites, WordPress projects, mobile applications, corporate identities and user interfaces. Its TaranaPress framework provides a settings-based WordPress environment with responsive layouts, search-engine optimization, social integration and performance-oriented configuration.

Digital-transformation projects can include business platforms, internal workflows, integrations and custom software. Tarana also operates the Yksb e-commerce platform, allowing merchants to launch an online store without building the complete underlying system independently. A free entry option is available alongside paid commercial packages.

Secure business email is available as a separate service. Its features include webmail, internal chat, online storage, mailing lists, scheduled delivery, POP3, IMAP, antivirus protection, spam filtering, attachment search, login tracking and task management.

Some parts of the customer area retain an older design. Legacy browser instructions, a privacy policy dating from 2015, an incomplete domain-price table and several differences between commercial information and contractual wording reduce consistency.
