TanzaniaHosting is a Tanzanian hosting provider established in 2014, with its formal commercial launch taking place in January 2015. The service operates through Oriental Imports (Tanzania) Limited (orientaltz.com), a Dar es Salaam company founded in 2013, together with Cycom Hong Kong Limited (cycom.com.hk), which contributes technical infrastructure and server administration resources.

This operating structure combines local sales, billing, and payment assistance in Tanzania with an international technical team. Customers can pay in Tanzanian shillings and use familiar regional payment methods, while their websites and applications run on infrastructure outside Tanzania.

The product range includes Linux Shared Hosting, Business Email Hosting, Managed Cloud Servers, Domain Registration, and a partner program for resellers, consultants, designers, and IT companies. Windows and ASP.NET hosting are not available, and trial hosting accounts are not offered.

The shared hosting service is divided into Silver, Gold, and Platinum packages. Silver includes 10 GB of storage, 100 GB of monthly bandwidth, 10 email accounts, and space for one website. Gold provides 50 GB of storage, 500 GB of bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, and support for as many as 10 websites. Platinum increases the allocation to 250 GB of storage, 2.5 TB of bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, and as many as 100 hosted websites.

Every shared hosting package includes cPanel, Softaculous, FTP access, MySQL databases, subdomains, remote weekly backups, professional email accounts, and one-click application installation. Free website migration, domain-transfer assistance, DNS configuration, and basic script troubleshooting are also included. The hosting comparison includes a free-domain benefit with the eligible packages.

Standalone email hosting is available for businesses and individuals who need professional mailboxes without a complete website hosting account. Personal Email includes 25 GB of storage, while Business Email includes 100 GB and a free domain. A separate Google Workspace option uses Google services and combines business email with Calendar, Drive, Docs, Contacts, and other collaboration applications. Discounts may be negotiated for larger orders containing at least 10 email accounts.

Managed Cloud Hosting is the strongest service in the portfolio. Each server includes WHM and cPanel, full root access through SSH or WHM, SSD cloud storage, firewall protection, daily remote backups, proactive monitoring, and managed technical assistance. Standard configurations begin with 2 GB RAM and two CPU cores and extend to 8 GB RAM and six CPU cores. Custom systems can be supplied with substantially larger CPU, memory, and storage allocations, including configurations reaching 20 cores, 96 GB RAM, and 2 TB of SSD storage.

These managed servers are suitable for e-commerce platforms, government projects, international organizations, developers, and companies that have exceeded the limits of shared hosting. An unlimited number of domains can be hosted, subject to the server’s available resources. Monthly billing is available without a long-term commitment. Shared hosting is normally activated within one business day after payment, while managed cloud and Google Workspace services generally require two to four days.

Schools, students, and nonprofit organizations operating in Tanzania or elsewhere in East Africa can receive a 10% discount on hosting packages. The partner program gives IT consultants, designers, and service providers an opportunity to resell hosting or refer customers in exchange for recurring revenue. Active partners also receive priority technical assistance.

Domain registration covers international and East African extensions, including .com, .net, .org, .biz, .co, .me, .in, .africa, .co.tz, .or.tz, .tz, .ke, and .ug. Registration, transfer, and renewal prices are generally consistent for each individual extension.
