SpaceWeb is one of Russia’s longest-established web hosting companies, operating since 2001. The company serves approximately 175,000 customers and hosts more than 222,000 websites, giving it a substantial presence in the Russian hosting market.

Its first hosting server was a Pentium III system with 512 MB of memory and a 50 GB disk connected through the ITMO University network. SpaceWeb has since developed from a traditional shared-hosting provider into a broader infrastructure company covering shared hosting, email hosting, VPS, cloud servers, managed databases, Kubernetes, dedicated servers, domain registration, website creation, security services, and server administration.

SpaceWeb joined Hosting Community during the consolidation led by RBC (rbc.ru) in 2007. Hosting Community became RU-CENTER Group in 2014. Another ownership transition followed in 2021 when RU-CENTER Group was transferred to RU-WEB.Investments, while RBC retained a 25% interest. RU-CENTER Group currently acts as SpaceWeb’s managing organization.

The main service remains Linux shared hosting, divided into standard packages, higher-resource plans, and large-capacity configurations. The smaller packages suit personal websites, company pages, landing pages, and modest online projects. The more powerful plans are better prepared for online stores, content-heavy portals, and applications requiring dedicated Apache processes, Memcached, Redis, or larger processor allocations.

The Start package supports one website with 1 GB of NVMe storage. Flight increases the allowance to five websites and 10 GB, while Rocket and Cosmos support ten and twenty websites. Higher-resource packages named Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter provide between 60 GB and 100 GB of storage together with stronger processing limits. Vega, Electra, and Mira extend storage capacity from approximately 190 GB to 900 GB.

The shared-hosting environment includes free SSL certificates, daily backups, databases, email accounts, basic DDoS protection, and a 14-day test period. Free migration assistance is available for customers moving websites from another hosting provider.

The server environment supports PHP releases ranging from older 5.x versions through PHP 8.5, together with MySQL 5.7 and 8, PostgreSQL, Perl, Python, and Ruby. Email accounts benefit from Kaspersky antispam and antivirus filtering.

Application-specific hosting is available for WordPress, Joomla, 1C-Bitrix, and UMI.CMS. These packages combine normal hosting resources with preconfigured installation and compatibility settings. The UMI.SW package includes one website, 5 GB of NVMe storage, a MySQL database, SSL, backups, and a 14-day test period. Commercial CMS licenses are also available directly through the company.

Dedicated email hosting is sold separately from website hosting. The mail packages support unlimited domains and mailboxes, with storage capacities of 10 GB, 50 GB, or 100 GB. Webmail, filtering, centralized administration, and technical support are included.

The VPS/VDS catalog covers regular NVMe cloud servers, higher-frequency Turbo configurations, high-capacity HDD-based servers, and customizable virtual machines. Standard plans use processors operating at up to 3.2 GHz, while the configurator allows processor cores, memory, and storage to be combined according to the requirements of each project.

Most virtual servers include a 300 Mbps internet connection, private networking at up to 1 Gbps, VNC access, monitoring, and basic administration. Available Linux templates include Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, Debian, Rocky Linux, and CentOS.

Ready-to-use VPS installations are available for Docker, Node.js, Nextcloud, GitLab, OpenCart, Minecraft, GameAP, BitrixVM, Hestia, FASTPANEL, 1Panel, and ispmanager. Usage-based hourly billing was introduced for cloud servers in July 2026, allowing temporary infrastructure to be created and removed without paying for an entire month.

Overseas VPS plans operate from Amsterdam, providing a European Union location for projects that require lower latency to Western Europe or infrastructure outside Russia.

The cloud platform, introduced in 2024, extends the portfolio with managed MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, Kubernetes clusters, S3-compatible object storage, load balancing, cloud backups, monitoring, protected IP addresses, and private-cloud environments.

Managed databases support synchronous and asynchronous replicas, automated backups to S3 storage, API administration, and Kubernetes-based orchestration. Load balancers can distribute traffic between Moscow and St Petersburg infrastructure and are suitable for applications handling approximately 20,000 requests per second and 3,000 persistent connections.

Managed Kubernetes is available with either a single control node or a high-availability configuration using three control nodes. Cloud customers can combine virtual servers, private networks, databases, backups, monitoring, load balancing, and object storage within the same infrastructure account.

The dedicated server range begins with economical general-purpose machines and extends to high-performance and GPU-equipped configurations. Root or administrator access is included, while optional management is available for customers who prefer SpaceWeb to maintain the operating system and server environment.

Separate server configurations are available for 1C applications, databases, virtualization, machine learning, and other resource-intensive workloads. A custom server builder also allows processor, memory, disk, and accelerator requirements to be selected individually.

Domain registration covers more than 300 extensions. Russian .ru and .рф domains are among the most affordable options, while international extensions include .com, .net, .org, .info, .online, and .shop. Domain services include DNS management, automatic renewal, forwarding, parking, unlimited subdomains, and WHOIS privacy where registry rules permit it.

SpaceWeb also provides a website builder with more than 190 templates and an AI-assisted creation option. Additional products include commercial SSL certificates, malware removal, application-level DDoS protection, website monitoring, dedicated IP addresses, two-factor authentication, and SMS, push, and Telegram notification services.

The company developed its proprietary hosting control panel in 2010 and completed a substantial redesign in 2019. Its infrastructure-management software entered the Russian software registry in October 2025. SpaceWeb is also included in Russia’s hosting-provider registry and holds accredited IT-company status.

The service is primarily intended for Russian-speaking customers. A complete English-language storefront does not exist, prices are denominated in Russian rubles, and the available payment methods are centered on the Russian market.

The website and customer interfaces use a modern responsive layout suitable for desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. The control panel also works as a progressive web application, while the mobile application was relaunched in 2026.

Windows shared hosting and a conventional reseller-hosting program are not part of the current catalog. SpaceWeb concentrates mainly on Linux hosting, Russian domain services, virtual servers, cloud infrastructure, and managed operations.
