Somee.com is a long-established US hosting provider operated by Somee International, LLC, with a history dating back to 2004. The company has developed a particularly strong specialization around Microsoft hosting technologies, including ASP.NET, modern .NET releases, Microsoft SQL Server and Windows virtual servers. Its services are used internationally, with customers across more than 125 countries and more than one million websites created on the platform during its operating history.

The current portfolio covers Windows Shared Hosting, Free ASP.NET Hosting, Microsoft SQL Server Hosting, Windows VPS, Linux VPS, SSD VPS and configurable virtual servers. Microsoft technologies remain the core strength, although the VPS platform also makes Somee suitable for customers requiring Linux distributions and full root-level server administration.

Windows Hosting supports ASP.NET 2.0 through 4.8 together with newer .NET generations including .NET 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Classic ASP and Microsoft SQL Server are also supported. The Advanced, Premium and Developer packages progressively increase storage, website allowances, databases, email accounts and backup resources, with the larger plans including unlimited monthly data transfer. Free SSL certificates through Let's Encrypt are available for hosted websites.

The Free ASP.NET Hosting account remains one of Somee's more distinctive services. It requires no payment or credit card and provides a functional environment for small ASP.NET applications, development work, demonstrations and student projects. Resources are intentionally limited to 150 MB of storage and 5 GB of monthly transfer, together with a small SQL Express database and a Somee-hosted address. Advertising is inserted into websites hosted under the free plan, support is limited compared with paid accounts, and inactive free sites or databases can eventually be removed. Microsoft SQL Hosting is available independently from regular website hosting. The VPS range extends the service considerably beyond shared ASP.NET hosting. Windows virtual servers provide Administrator-level access through RDP, while Linux servers provide full root access through SSH. Linux templates include Debian, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux and AlmaLinux, while Windows choices extend to newer Microsoft server releases, including Windows Server 2025 on compatible configurations.

Custom VPS configuration is another useful feature. Customers can adjust processor allocation, RAM, storage type and capacity, bandwidth, network speed, additional IP addresses, operating system and billing period rather than being restricted entirely to predefined plans. Configurations can scale to as many as 16 CPU cores, 96 GB RAM and substantially larger disk allocations, making the service usable for workloads well above entry-level hosting.

The VPS platform is self-managed. Somee takes care of the underlying virtualization infrastructure and provides server controls, recovery functions and platform assistance, while administration of the operating system, applications and server security remains primarily the customer's responsibility. Customers wanting cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin or another commercial control panel can install it themselves after obtaining the necessary license.
