Established in 1999, the company has been active since the early period of commercial web hosting in Australia and operates with a compact team of approximately 2–10 employees.

Steve Kemp, also identified through the Australian registration as Steven Douglas Kemp, is the principal person behind the business. The current Australian sole-trader registration became active on May 21, 2019, while the Snowtech Services business name was registered on June 29, 2023. The business itself has a considerably longer history than its present registration structure.

Snowtech combines conventional hosting services with custom software and technical development. Its capabilities include PHP programming, WHMCS modules, billing automation, e-commerce integrations, and purpose-built business platforms such as SnowBill, SnowRES, and SnowCommerce. This technical background makes the company particularly relevant for customers who require custom integrations, application modifications, or development work alongside their hosting.

The service portfolio includes Cloud Website Hosting, eCommerce Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Reseller Hosting, VPS, Business Email, Cloud Storage, CDN, Domain Registration, SSL Certificates, and Website Builders. Complementary services include SEO and SEM assistance, NordVPN, website security, CodeGuard backup, server and website monitoring, email filtering, and VoIP.

The standard Cloud Website Hosting service uses Linux servers with cPanel, SSD storage, free SSL certificates, Softaculous, SiteJet, email hosting, subdomains, daily backups, and 24-hour ticket support. Four packages provide between 1 GB and 10 GB of SSD storage, together with monthly traffic allowances ranging from 10 GB to 60 GB.

Each standard package supports one primary website. This is suitable for individuals and small businesses running a single project, although customers managing several unrelated websites may need reseller hosting or a larger custom solution.

The eCommerce Hosting range uses the same cPanel environment and general resource structure, with free SSL, database support, email, Softaculous, backups, and support for widely used online-store applications. These packages are practical for smaller shops and product catalogs, while stores containing large numbers of high-resolution images or handling substantial traffic should carefully consider the available storage and bandwidth.

The separate WordPress Hosting service is suitable for company websites, blogs, portfolios, and smaller WordPress-based stores. The reseller range provides between 10 GB and 40 GB of storage and between 20 GB and 80 GB of monthly traffic. Free migration assistance is available for accounts transferred from cPanel and several other control panels, including Plesk and DirectAdmin.

Resellers can create individual hosting packages, assign disk space and bandwidth, manage DNS zones, and provide every customer with a separate cPanel account. WHMCS licensing is available separately for automated account provisioning, invoicing, customer management, and technical support.

The VPS Hosting range includes six scalable configurations. The entry-level Cloud 1 package provides one CPU core, 1 GB of RAM, 25 GB of storage, and 1 TB of monthly traffic. The largest Cloud 6 configuration increases these resources to eight CPU cores, 32 GB of RAM, 300 GB of storage, and 6 TB of monthly traffic.

VPS customers receive root access and can operate web servers, databases, custom business applications, Rails applications, VoIP systems, development environments, or other compliant software.

The VPS service is self-managed by default. Customers are responsible for operating-system updates, software configuration, server security, backups, and monitoring unless managed assistance is purchased. A managed option is available for businesses that do not have an experienced system administrator.

The exact virtualization platform, operating-system choices, storage technology, backup arrangements, included IP addresses, and optional commercial control panels should be confirmed before ordering a VPS.

The Email Hosting range includes OX App Suite and Microsoft 365. OX provides professional email using the customer’s own domain, webmail access, mobile-device compatibility, and mailbox capacities of 10 GB or 50 GB. The service includes a 99.9% uptime commitment.

Microsoft 365 provides a 50 GB mailbox, shared calendars, synchronization across devices, IMAP compatibility, and access to Microsoft’s cloud productivity environment.

Snowtech’s CDN Hosting is divided according to geographical coverage. The Oceania package uses six locations across Australia and New Zealand. Larger packages provide Western Hemisphere, Northern Hemisphere, or worldwide coverage through a network containing more than 120 points of presence.

Each CDN package includes 1 TB of data transfer, followed by usage-based overage billing. This can be useful for websites delivering images, downloadable files, video, software, or other static content to visitors outside Australia.

Website-building options are broader than expected from a company of this size. SiteJet is included with ordinary web hosting, while the separate Site Builder offers responsive templates, more than 350 content blocks, integrated stock photography, blogging tools, social-media features, and online-store packages supporting up to 500 products.

Weebly is also available for customers who prefer its drag-and-drop editor and established template system.

The customer interface is available in English and includes language options for Arabic, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, and several other languages. Product prices can be displayed in AUD or USD.

The interface works on desktop and mobile devices, although some sections contain older footer dates, spelling inconsistencies, and different promotional prices between product areas. The final amount shown during checkout should therefore be treated as the applicable price.

Snowtech applies resource restrictions to protect shared-server stability. Shared-hosting processes may not use more than 2,048 MB of memory, more than 240 CPU seconds, or more than 25% of total system resources at one time. Shared accounts are also limited to 500 outgoing email messages per hour.

These limits are reasonable for ordinary websites and business email, but they may affect large mailing lists, resource-intensive scripts, automated import jobs, or unusually busy applications.

Dedicated-server, cloud-server, and colocation topics remain within the wider support and knowledgebase structure. Complete standardized retail configurations are not available for these services, so customers requiring dedicated hardware or colocation should request a current custom quotation.
