Smarthost.pl is a Polish hosting provider headquartered in Częstochowa and operating since 2016. The company was founded by Dr. Eng. Wojciech Babicz, who remains President of the Management Board and has been involved with hosting technologies since 1996. Smarthost Sp. z o.o. was formally registered on December 30, 2016. Wojciech Babicz and Agnieszka Babicz each hold 50% of the company, while Jacek Babicz also serves on the management board. The privately held business has grown to serve more than 10,000 customers worldwide.

The service range covers shared hosting, WordPress hosting, Joomla hosting, PrestaShop hosting, reseller hosting, managed VPS, dedicated servers, domain registration, DNS Anycast, SSL certificates, backup services and hosting migrations. An important advantage is that Smarthost operates its own datacenter in Częstochowa, giving the company direct control over servers, connectivity, power, cooling and physical infrastructure instead of depending entirely on third-party colocation. The company also holds an ISO/IEC 27001 information security certification and is registered as a key entity within Poland's national cybersecurity framework.

Shared hosting is divided into the smart and higher-performance smart-pro families. Smart plans use SSD storage and include cPanel, free SSL certificates, daily backups, account isolation and 24-hour support. Smart-Pro moves to NVMe storage and adds LiteSpeed Enterprise, Redis and LSCache, together with higher resource limits and longer backup retention.

The entry-level smart-mini package provides 5 GB of storage and starts at 129 PLN net per year, while smart-pro-mini costs 199 PLN net per year. At the higher end, the 100 GB smart-max package costs 679 PLN net per year and smart-pro-max costs 899 PLN net per year. Shared hosting packages include a 14-day trial period, making it possible to evaluate performance before committing to a paid subscription.

The same hosting infrastructure is optimized for WordPress, Joomla and PrestaShop, with the Smart-Pro range being especially suitable for dynamic CMS and e-commerce websites because of NVMe storage, LiteSpeed Enterprise, HTTP/3, Redis and LSCache. Website and mailbox migrations are handled free of charge, which is useful for customers moving an established site from another provider.

Daily backups are stored separately from production systems. Smart hosting retains seven daily recovery points, while Smart-Pro extends retention to 14 copies. Individual directories, databases and email accounts can be restored rather than requiring a complete hosting account rollback.

Reseller Hosting uses WHM together with cPanel. Resellers can create separate customer accounts, define their own hosting packages, apply branding and allocate resources independently. Available configurations use NVMe storage and can include Apache or LiteSpeed Enterprise. Reseller plans scale from approximately 10 to 200 cPanel accounts and from 25 GB to 500 GB of storage.

The res-100-100 configuration, for example, supports 100 cPanel accounts, 100 GB of storage, unlimited traffic and a dedicated IP for 224 PLN net per month. Customer accounts remain individually isolated, so CPU and memory limits are managed on a per-account basis instead of being consumed from one shared resource pool.

The VPS platform uses KVM virtualization and business-class Dell hardware with SSD RAID storage. The V1 configuration starts with two CPU cores, 4 GB RAM and 25 GB of disk space. Larger configurations scale to eight CPU cores, 16 GB RAM and 300 GB of storage. Additional disk capacity, bandwidth, management, backups and commercial software can be added according to requirements.

VPS operating systems and management options include Debian, AlmaLinux and CloudLinux. Servers can be managed through SSH or equipped with cPanel or DirectAdmin. LiteSpeed Enterprise, JetBackup, Redis and Imunify360 are also available as optional components.

Smarthost also provides dedicated servers, including configurations intended for larger WooCommerce and PrestaShop stores. Dedicated machines are installed in the company's Częstochowa datacenter and can be supplied with administration and cPanel. Hardware and software configurations are prepared individually, so dedicated server pricing depends on the requested specification.

Domain services cover hundreds of extensions. Smarthost works with NASK for Polish domains and with EURid for .eu registrations. Domain services can include DNSSEC, Anycast DNS and free SSL, while additional Registry Lock protection is available for .pl domains.

The Anycast DNS network uses more than 120 nodes distributed internationally. This improves DNS response times and resilience for customers whose visitors are spread across several regions.

Automatic SSL certificates are supplied through Let's Encrypt and are installed and renewed automatically for domains hosted on shared plans. Hosting security also includes account isolation, filtering of malicious requests, anti-exploit protection and continuous maintenance of the server software stack.

Smarthost maintains a separate technical status service where maintenance events and service incidents can be followed. This complements the usual ticket, email, chat and telephone support channels.

The Polish storefront uses PLN as its primary currency. Smarthost also supports several localized markets, with website versions available in Polish, English, Albanian, German, UK English, Croatian, Macedonian and Ukrainian.

The company also uses 100% renewable electricity for its servers and supporting infrastructure. Renewable energy certification covers sources including solar, wind and hydroelectric generation.
