SmartHost LLC is a privately owned American hosting and infrastructure company based in Henderson, Nevada, with operations dating back to 1998. SmartHost has expanded through a series of acquisitions. The main KVM VPS range uses NVMe SSD storage and SolusVM. Entry Linux VPS plans include 1 GB RAM, 10 GB NVMe storage, 1 TB traffic and a 1 Gbps port. AMD Ryzen VPS configurations provide stronger processor performance for more CPU-intensive workloads, while Windows VPS plans start with larger system disks suitable for Microsoft operating systems. Hybrid VPS configurations combine fast NVMe storage for the operating system with RAID-6 SAS storage for larger data requirements.

The Storage VPS range is suitable for backups, archives and applications requiring substantially more disk capacity. Entry configurations provide 1 TB storage, 1 GB RAM, 5 TB traffic and a 1 Gbps network connection.

One of the more flexible products is the VPS Resource Pool. Customers purchase a pool of CPU, memory, storage, bandwidth and IP resources and then divide those resources among multiple virtual machines. Individual instances can be created, removed and resized through the management system, making this option useful for developers, hosting companies and resellers that need several independent VPS instances rather than a single server. The entry resource pool includes 50 GB NVMe RAID storage, 2 GB RAM, 2 TB bandwidth and five IPv4 addresses.

The Cloud Server platform follows a similar resource-based model, allowing multiple virtual machines to be created from an allocated resource pool. Customers receive root access, console functionality, operating-system reinstallation and virtual-machine provisioning controls through SolusVM. Some cloud documentation still reflects older OpenVZ and Xen deployments, while KVM is now the dominant virtualization technology across the main VPS range.

SmartHost also maintains a substantial Dedicated Server lineup. Configurations range from economical Intel Xeon E3 hardware to dual Xeon systems and newer AMD Ryzen servers. Dedicated systems include remote IPMI/KVM access, hardware maintenance and continuous monitoring, with both Linux and Windows operating systems available. DDoS protection is included with the principal dedicated-server configurations.

Physical Colocation is available from individual 1U and 2U deployments through larger rack and cage requirements. Plans can include 1 Gbps connectivity, substantial monthly bandwidth allocations and remote-hands services for tasks such as reboots and drive replacement.

Traditional Reseller Hosting is available from both the United States and United Kingdom. These plans use cPanel/WHM with Softaculous, private name servers and account overselling. Available packages range from smaller 10-account configurations up to larger packages supporting 200 cPanel accounts.

SmartHost also operates a broader wholesale program. Approved resellers can receive a 20% discount on eligible setup and recurring charges covering VPS, cloud services, dedicated servers, backup products, colocation and selected promotional products. Services can be privately branded, resellers can determine their own retail pricing, and customer support can either remain with SmartHost or be handled directly by the reseller.

Domain registration remains part of the portfolio, including extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .biz and .us. SSL services use RapidSSL certificates backed by the GeoTrust root, with automated domain validation, free reissues and encryption up to 256-bit.
