📄 Editorial Review

Smarthost.az is an Azerbaijani domain registration and web hosting provider operated by Mikrotex LLC / Mikrotex MMC, with tax ID 1900232171. The company is based in Baku and focuses mainly on .AZ domain registration, Linux shared hosting, reseller hosting, VPS / VDS, DNS parking, and online customer account management for local Azerbaijani users. Mikrotex MMC is included in Azerbaijan’s official ICTA registered host provider list, with the host provider registration dated 07.06.2019.

The company is a practical choice for customers who want local domain and hosting services under the same account. Smarthost.az handles Azerbaijani extensions such as .az, .com.az, .net.az, .org.az, .info.az, .biz.az, .co.az, .name.az, .pp.az, .edu.az, and .int.az, making it especially useful for businesses, organizations, and personal projects targeting Azerbaijan. The domain workflow is clearly built around local registration rules, while hosting and DNS services can be managed from the same customer area.

Their main service is Shared Hosting, suitable for small business websites, personal projects, company presentation sites, blogs, and modest traffic portals. The hosting packages include cPanel, SSL support, Softaculous script installer, WordPress and Joomla compatibility, PHP version selection, email accounts, databases, and unlimited traffic across the published packages. A 14-day free trial is available for hosting, which gives customers a useful testing period before moving to a paid plan.

Smarthost.az also provides Reseller Hosting, using WHM-style reseller management, and VPS / VDS plans for customers who need isolated server resources. The VPS service fits projects that need more control than shared hosting, including business applications, online stores, development environments, database workloads, and server-based services. Operating system options include CentOS 7.9, Ubuntu 22.04, AlmaLinux 8, Debian 12, and Windows Server 2008 R2 English. The Windows Server 2008 R2 option is old, so customers needing a modern Windows server environment should clarify available OS templates and licensing before ordering.

The website works in Azerbaijani and Russian, with pricing in AZN. Its design is functional but older and compact compared with modern hosting storefronts. The service is therefore more attractive for local customers who care about direct Azerbaijani domain handling, local support, and straightforward hosting management than for international users expecting a polished multilingual hosting platform.
