Includes 40 GB NVMe storage, up to 15 hosted domains (primary + addons), unlimited email with SpamExperts, and free SSL certificates that auto-renew. The performance stack remains LiteSpeed Enterprise with LSCache (server-level caching), tuned for WordPress and other PHP/MySQL frameworks; supports HTTP/3 and modern compression. Automated daily Acronis backups with fast restores from cPanel are complemented by weekly and monthly retention points, plus on-demand manual backups. Security posture includes CloudLinux LVE isolation per account, Imunify360 real-time protection and malware cleanup, Web Application Firewall/ModSecurity, csf firewall, and Fortinet DDoS mitigation. Unlimited databases, phpMyAdmin, remote MySQL, Cron Jobs, logs, resource meters, file manager, and selectable PHP versions (5–8). DNS zone management with SPF/DKIM, unlimited subdomains and alias domains. Bandwidth is unmetered under fair-use and the platform advertises no hard limits for I/O, IOPS, or inodes in normal use. Free cPanel-to-cPanel migration available. Pricing monthly in EUR, VAT 19% excluded from displayed prices. First-month trial may be available when ordering.
Shared platform advantages across tiers: Tier-3 Romanian datacenters with 200 Gbps connectivity, Dell servers with Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC, enterprise NVMe in RAID-10, and continuous monitoring. 📄 Editorial Review
Simplenet is an independent Romanian web hosting company operated by Simplenet Hosting S.R.L. from Bacău, Romania. The business was founded by Andrei Chira and Elena Chira, with its origins dating back to August 2007. Andrei initially worked with WordPress websites and online services, while the dedicated Simplenet hosting operation began in 2012. Andrei Chira is co-founder and CEO, responsible for the company's technical direction, while Elena Chira is co-founder and COO.The company has followed a specialized approach rather than competing exclusively in the mass-market hosting segment. WordPress-related work began in 2008, and by 2013 Simplenet had developed its own Nginx/PHP-FPM-based cloud environment for higher-traffic WordPress publications. Its infrastructure has evolved considerably since then, with repeated hardware upgrades and a newer premium hosting platform focused on website isolation, NVMe storage, LiteSpeed and centralized management. Andrei Chira has also been active in the Romanian WordPress community, including WordCamp appearances in 2014 and 2024.
The product portfolio includes cPanel Shared Hosting, Business Hosting, Publisher Hosting, eCommerce Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Managed VPS and Domain Registration, together with WordPress performance optimization, security audits, technical SEO audits and website maintenance. There are two distinct hosting environments: traditional cPanel shared hosting for customers who prefer a familiar all-in-one account, and a premium platform designed for WordPress, WooCommerce and other PHP/MySQL applications requiring better isolation and more predictable resource allocations.
The cPanel Shared Hosting range combines Dell servers, AMD EPYC processors, enterprise NVMe storage in RAID 10, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, cPGuard, SpamExperts, Acronis backups and Let's Encrypt SSL certificates. Websites and email accounts operate within the same cPanel account. CloudLinux isolates different customer accounts, although websites belonging to the same account share its environment. PHP versions from 5.6 through 8.4 are available, accommodating current applications and certain older PHP workloads.
The premium Business Hosting service introduces individual website isolation and separate resource allocations. Packages include staging environments, daily backups, website monitoring, SSL certificates, SSH access with public-key authentication, WP-CLI and migration assistance. Email services run separately from the web servers, reducing competition between website workloads and mail processing. AMD EPYC processors, NVMe storage, LiteSpeed, MariaDB and OPcache provide the core hosting environment.
Publisher Hosting targets news portals, blogs, online magazines and other content-heavy websites with substantial visitor numbers. Redis Object Cache helps reduce repeated database queries, while larger CPU and RAM allocations improve the handling of traffic spikes. Resource limits are fixed rather than based on visitor counts, which makes monthly costs more predictable. However, sites exhausting their allocated resources may experience HTTP 503 responses until demand decreases or additional resources become available.
eCommerce Hosting extends the premium architecture to WooCommerce, OpenCart, PrestaShop and other online shopping platforms. LiteSpeed caching accelerates publicly cacheable content, while Redis helps reduce database overhead. Dynamic components such as shopping carts, checkout processes and personalized customer sessions remain uncached where appropriate. Higher-tier packages benefit from newer AMD EPYC generations and considerably larger CPU and memory allocations than standard shared hosting.
The Reseller Hosting platform is particularly useful for web agencies, freelancers and developers managing websites for multiple customers. It supports generic nameservers, an unbranded management address, generic staging and preview addresses, and granular user permissions. Customers can receive access exclusively to their assigned websites without gaining access to the reseller's other projects. Business, Publisher, eCommerce and VPS resources can be combined within the same reseller relationship. Traditional cPanel accounts can also be resold, although they do not provide the same white-label and per-site collaboration capabilities. Simplenet handles infrastructure support for resellers, while resellers remain responsible for customer-facing assistance.
The Managed VPS range is designed for businesses requiring dedicated virtual-server resources without taking responsibility for operating-system administration. Simplenet maintains the server operating system and hosting stack, while customers manage individual websites through their control panel. Available features include PHP versions from 5.6 through 8.5, Redis, staging, DNS management, cron jobs, SSH access and WP-CLI. Apache, Nginx and OpenLiteSpeed can be used without additional web-server licensing charges, while LiteSpeed Enterprise is available as a paid option. Root access is not included, and the VPS platform does not provide integrated email hosting. Applications requiring transactional email must use an external SMTP service.
Domain Registration includes new registrations, transfers, renewals, registrar locking, custom nameservers, private nameservers where supported, WHOIS contact management and privacy protection for eligible extensions. RoTLD handles Romanian .ro domains, while Openprovider manages the main international-domain portfolio. Certain existing registrations may remain with eNom or Namecheap until their transfer or expiration.
Beyond infrastructure, Simplenet provides several professional WordPress services. Performance Optimization includes plugin and theme profiling, database analysis, image optimization, front-end improvements and technical remediation. Security Audits cover WordPress accounts and configuration, malware scanning, vulnerable components, infection cleanup and preventive security measures. Technical SEO Audits concentrate on crawlability, robots directives, canonical URLs, duplicate content, orphan pages and similar technical problems. A separate WordPress Maintenance service handles updates, additional backups, uptime monitoring, performance monitoring, security checks and technical problem resolution.
Simplenet remains an independent and relatively specialized business rather than part of a large international hosting conglomerate. In 2025, the company introduced Kiravo as an international brand because the Simplenet name was already used by unrelated organizations outside Romania. Development continued in 2026 with work toward static hosting for websites created using AI-assisted development tools.
The company also maintains an active technical blog covering WordPress performance, security and hosting infrastructure. Its recent activity includes an article published on June 16, 2026, while infrastructure and platform changes continued through September 2026.
The Simplenet storefront and documentation are primarily available in Romanian. No complete English-language Simplenet storefront exists, which is a limitation for international customers unfamiliar with Romanian, although the Enhance management interface supports multiple languages. Hosting prices are generally denominated in EUR, excluding VAT, while domain invoices for Romanian customers are converted into RON at the applicable exchange rate.
