SIM-Networks is a German hosting and IT infrastructure provider whose history goes back to 2006, when SIM-Computer began working with corporate IT consulting and web development. The SIM-Networks brand was established in 2009, which is the most appropriate foundation year for the hosting business itself. The operation is owned by Netversor GmbH, headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany, with Sergey Stark as founder and current CEO. External company profiles place the organization at roughly 50–200 employees, while its customer base has extended to almost 100 countries.

SIM-Networks has evolved well beyond ordinary web hosting. Its portfolio covers Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, GPU Cloud, cloud backup, S3 object storage, Dedicated Servers, Custom Servers, VPS/VDS, Mac servers, storage servers, Colocation, Shared SSD Hosting, Domains, SSL Certificates, migration services and software licensing. It also builds infrastructure around databases, ERP and accounting systems, websites, mobile applications, VoIP, remote workplaces, Windows and Linux environments, and high-availability projects.

The SIM-Cloud Public Cloud is based on OpenStack and operates across two availability zones in Germany. Customers receive a self-service SIM-Cloud Dashboard, floating IP addresses, virtual routers, private networking, DDoS protection and several storage options. Ready-made configurations currently begin with Bora at €69.30/month, followed by larger Marin and Sirocco configurations. A three-day cloud trial is available. For companies that require isolated resources, Private Cloud deployments can be built around VMware, Hyper-V or OpenStack, while Hybrid Cloud combines dedicated/private resources with public-cloud capacity. These larger deployments are individually engineered and priced according to the project.

The GPU Cloud adds NVIDIA L40 acceleration for AI, machine-learning, rendering and other GPU-heavy workloads, with configurations beginning at €119.70/month for 2 GB of GPU memory and scaling as high as a full 48 GB L40 allocation. The platform retains the SIM-Cloud networking, dashboard, Tier III+ German location and 24/7 support. For cloud data protection, BaaS provides incremental local or geographically separated remote backups, while S3-compatible Object Storage starts with 500 GB and supports individual objects as large as 5 TB. S3 storage currently starts at €11.55/month.

The dedicated-server range is quite flexible. Standard Dedicated Servers start at €56.60/month, with Intel Xeon-based configurations extending into much larger single- and dual-CPU systems. Standard features include an IPv4 or IPv6 address, root access, operating-system installation, PTR management, up to 100 GB of backup space on applicable configurations, 100 Mbps connectivity, unlimited traffic, DDoS protection and failed-hardware replacement. Customers that cannot fit a standard configuration can order a Custom Server with individually selected processors, RAM, disks, RAID, operating systems, virtualization and network architecture.

VPS/VDS hosting is divided between Xen-based Linux environments and ESXi-based virtualization suitable for Windows workloads. Xen plans currently start at €14.44/month, while ESXi configurations start at €25.77/month. Operating-system installation is included, and control-panel installation is available with the Xen service. Extra CPU, RAM, storage, IP addresses and managed administration can be added when required.

Dedicated Apple hardware is another unusual part of the portfolio. Mac mini servers are hosted in Germany and accessed remotely through VNC. Promotional Intel Mac mini configurations currently start around €36.75/month, while an Apple Silicon Mac mini M2 starts at €99.75/month and an M2 Pro configuration is also available. This is useful for remote macOS development, CI/CD, testing and other workloads that legally or technically require Apple hardware.

Storage can also be ordered independently through FTP, iSCSI and S3-compatible storage. FTP storage begins at 100 GB, while iSCSI and S3 services begin at 500 GB. Businesses with their own equipment can use Colocation in Germany or the Netherlands, with remote-hands assistance, redundant power and custom network arrangements.

At the smaller end of the market, SSD Shared Hosting remains available. The Micro plan starts at roughly €2.22/month and includes 300 MB of storage, one website, one database and unlimited traffic. Mini, Midi and Maxi increase storage to 1 GB, 5 GB and 15 GB respectively. Daily backups are included and common applications such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Magento can be hosted. The very small disk allocations of the entry plans are an important limitation for modern WordPress installations with large media libraries, but they can still work well for compact sites, landing pages or lightweight business applications.

Domain registration covers more than 150 TLDs, while SSL certificates range from inexpensive DV certificates to wildcard protection. A RapidSSL single-domain DV certificate currently begins at about €12/year, with Sectigo alternatives also available. Website and server migration services can transfer hosting accounts, databases, applications and complete server environments; depending on project scope, migration assistance can be free, and qualifying web-hosting/VDS migrations can include an additional month of service.

SIM-Networks also supplies software licenses for infrastructure hosted with them. The catalog includes ISPmanager, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Bitdefender and MikroTik. ISPmanager 6 Lite starts at €5.99/month, with Pro, Host and Business editions available for customers needing more domains, users or server-management capability.

The company works heavily with managed infrastructure rather than simply renting hardware. Services can include architecture, migration, backup, administration, monitoring and Remote Hands. ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001 and PCI DSS-related controls are relevant to customers with stronger security or compliance requirements.

The website itself is modern and supports English, German, Ukrainian and Russian, making the service considerably more accessible to customers across Central and Eastern Europe. Product values can be viewed in EUR, USD, UAH and BTC, although EUR remains the primary accounting currency.
