📄 Editorial Review
Sharktech is a long-established infrastructure provider that has been active since 2003. They were founded by Tim Timrawi and built their reputation around DDoS-protected hosting, bare metal infrastructure, colocation, and more recently cloud platforms rather than low-end retail shared hosting. This is important from the start: Sharktech is not the usual beginner-oriented web host with dozens of entry shared plans. Their core business is much closer to serious infrastructure and network services.Their current lineup is broad on the infrastructure side. The main services include bare metal dedicated servers, Smart VPS, public cloud, dedicated cloud, private cloud, colocation, object storage (S3), CDN, Acronis backup, DDoS protection, remote DDoS protection, and IP transit. That makes them a better fit for developers, gaming workloads, higher-risk traffic, custom application stacks, and businesses that need more control over network behavior and physical resources.
One of the strongest parts of the business is how tightly everything revolves around network protection and performance. Sharktech has spent years building around automatic DDoS mitigation, redundant connectivity, direct peering, and a multi-location footprint across the United States and Europe. They also operate their own autonomous system, AS46844, which immediately puts them in a more serious category than a reseller-style hosting brand.
The public site is mainly available in English, and they also maintain a Simplified Chinese version of the storefront. Pricing is shown in USD. The company serves customers through its headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, while support and operational presence also extend to Pakistan. Overall, Sharktech looks much more like an infrastructure company that happens to sell hosting than a generic web host trying to cover every retail category.
