📄 Editorial Review
SH.cz is a long-established Czech infrastructure and hosting provider specializing in dedicated servers, managed Linux infrastructure, server housing and rack colocation. The business traces its roots to 2002, when Zdeněk Cendra founded SuperHosting.cz, following hosting activity that had already begun around 2001. The operation later continued through SuperNetwork s.r.o. and adopted the SH.cz identity in 2021. Zdeněk Cendra remains the founder, CEO and controlling owner.Cendra's wider infrastructure background includes CDN, connectivity and network businesses, giving SH.cz considerably deeper technical roots than a typical small hosting reseller. The company itself remains focused on professional server infrastructure, particularly for Czech and Central European customers that need dedicated hardware, managed systems or colocation rather than ordinary entry-level hosting.
The current portfolio centers on Dedicated Servers, Managed Linux Servers, Server Housing, Rack Housing, backups, server administration and supporting infrastructure services. Conventional shared hosting, website builders and mass-market hosting packages are not the main business. SH.cz is better suited to developers, e-commerce operators, SaaS platforms, agencies and companies that need their own server resources or physical equipment in a professional data center. Its commercial conditions are primarily structured for businesses, legal entities and entrepreneurs.
Dedicated Servers use Supermicro-class hardware together with Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC processors. Standard configurations include a dedicated 1 Gbps network port with unlimited transfer, while 10 Gbps connectivity and more advanced network arrangements are also available. IPv4, IPv6, hardware servicing, operating-system installation and nonstop data-center assistance are part of the infrastructure model.
Customers can use common operating systems including Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS and Windows. Remote KVM access is available for operating-system installation, troubleshooting and recovery, which is particularly useful when network access to the server is unavailable.
The dedicated range covers several performance levels. The Basic Server uses an Intel Xeon E-2488 with 64 GB DDR5 memory and mixed SSD/HDD storage, while larger Web & Database and Virtualization configurations provide progressively more CPU, RAM and storage resources. At the upper end, the Performance Server uses a 96-core AMD EPYC 9654 platform with considerably larger memory and storage allocations. These are physical systems intended for sustained workloads rather than virtual machines sharing a common host.
Managed Linux Servers combine server infrastructure with operating-system administration, updates, security hardening, monitoring and backups. They can support websites, e-commerce platforms, mail systems, databases and other Linux workloads. Customers that do not require a complete physical machine can use a managed virtual server, while larger managed packages are based on dedicated hardware.
Backups for managed systems are maintained in two physically separate locations. Hardware and software monitoring runs continuously, and the administration team handles the operating-system layer rather than leaving routine maintenance to the customer.
Managed Linux is a fully administered service rather than a server with occasional support. Root access remains under SH.cz management so the agreed configuration, security policy and SLA can be maintained. Customers receive SFTP, SCP and SSH access without unrestricted root privileges. Debian is the standard Linux platform, while Proxmox is used for virtualization. This model works well for companies that want to outsource server administration, although administrators requiring unrestricted root control will generally prefer an unmanaged dedicated server.
Server Housing is available for 1U, 2U and 4U equipment. Packages include a dedicated 1 Gbps connection, IPv6 connectivity, 24/7 technical support and controlled physical access. Electricity is billed according to actual consumption instead of simply charging according to the nominal wattage of the installed power supply.
Customers can ship equipment directly to the Prague data center and have it installed into the rack. This is particularly useful for organizations operating infrastructure remotely without their own technical staff in Prague.
Rack Housing expands the colocation service to 11U, 15U, 23U and full 47U rack capacity. Dual power feeds and either dual 1 Gbps or dual 10 Gbps network connections are available, making the service suitable for larger clusters, virtualization environments, storage systems and business infrastructure requiring greater redundancy. Larger deployments are individually configured and quoted.
Backup services include SFTP Backup storage and a managed Bacula Backup service. Dedicated-server customers receive a limited amount of SFTP backup capacity as part of the service, while Bacula provides scheduled incremental and full backups together with managed restoration. Additional SFTP backup capacity can be purchased separately.
The website is modern and technically focused, without the outdated fixed-width appearance still seen among some hosting companies founded in the early 2000s. The service is primarily Czech-language and no complete multi-language/localized version exists. Prices are listed mainly in CZK, reinforcing the company's focus on the Czech market.
