ServerMiner is a British game-server hosting specialist established in 2012 by James Dixon. Serverminer Limited was incorporated in the United Kingdom on September 12, 2012, and continues to operate as an active private limited company.

The company concentrates on Minecraft server hosting, modded Minecraft hosting and Hytale server hosting. It does not follow the usual shared hosting, VPS or dedicated-server model. The entire service is built around managed game servers and the proprietary SMpicnic control panel.

Minecraft packages are suitable for communities ranging from approximately 15 to 100 players, with memory allocations between 1.5 GB and 10 GB. New servers are normally activated automatically after payment, allowing customers to begin configuring their worlds within a short time.

The Minecraft platform includes one-click server-version installation, plugin management, modpack installation, custom JAR support, world uploads, FTP access, browser-based file management, live console access, scheduled commands, MySQL databases and automatic backups. Customers can also create a custom server address and provide restricted control-panel access to other administrators.

Modded Minecraft hosting is one of the strongest parts of the service. ServerMiner supports more than 50,000 modpacks from CurseForge and Overwolf, Feed The Beast, Technic and ATLauncher. Forge and Fabric environments can also be installed, including custom collections assembled from individual mods and customer-provided server files.

A normal modpack installation usually takes around five to ten minutes. At least 3 GB of memory is advisable for most modded environments, while larger packs with extensive world generation, automation or multiple simultaneous players may need considerably more.

Existing worlds can remain stored while another modpack or Minecraft version is active. This makes it easier to switch between vanilla servers, Forge installations and complete modpacks without permanently replacing previous worlds.

Hytale hosting uses a similar managed structure. Packages begin with approximately 3 GB of memory for smaller groups and extend to 10 GB for communities of around 15 players. Customers can choose from the same main server regions and billing periods used for Minecraft hosting.

Automatic backups are created daily and retained for up to seven days. Previous server states can be restored from the control panel. Important worlds should still be downloaded regularly because complimentary server backups are not a replacement for an independent backup kept by the customer.

ServerMiner uses the term "unlimited world size," although storage remains subject to reasonable-use restrictions. Approximately 50 GB is considered suitable for an ordinary game-server account. Exceptionally large maps, extensive mod archives and oversized backup collections may require approval or additional arrangements.

Optional extras include a private MySQL database, a Mumble voice server for up to ten participants, a dedicated Minecraft port and paid assistance with plugin or modpack installation. Customers can also request migration between available server regions without an additional transfer fee.

A free Minecraft server option occasionally provides 2 GB of memory for 14 days from Germany. Capacity is limited, so the free service may be temporarily unavailable and should be regarded as a trial rather than a permanently accessible hosting package.

The website and control panel operate in English, and no complete multi-language localized version exists. Product prices can be displayed and paid in US dollars, British pounds and euros.
