SectigoStore.com is a U.S.-based digital-certificate and cybersecurity specialist focused primarily on products issued by Sectigo. It is not a conventional web hosting company: its business centers on SSL/TLS certificates, code signing, email and document signing, certificate lifecycle automation, PKI, website security, backup and PCI-compliance products rather than shared hosting, VPS or dedicated servers.

SectigoStore is associated with Rapid Web Services, LLC in St. Petersburg, Florida and operates as a specialized Sectigo Platinum Partner. The storefront is operated by The SSL Store, a subsidiary of DigiCert, under license from Sectigo Group, Inc. Sectigo itself remains the certificate authority behind the core certificate range, while SectigoStore handles sales, customer service and related certificate-management services.

The broader Rapid Web Services/The SSL Store business dates to 2007, when John Tuncer founded The SSL Store. The SectigoStore brand developed around 2018, alongside the transition of Comodo CA to the Sectigo name. The organization is headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, maintains an international presence through offices in three countries and serves customers worldwide.

The central product category is SSL/TLS Certificates. Customers can choose Domain Validation (DV), Organization Validation (OV) and Extended Validation (EV), together with single-domain, wildcard, multi-domain/SAN/UCC and multi-domain wildcard configurations. The main certificate families are PositiveSSL, EssentialSSL, InstantSSL, SectigoSSL and EnterpriseSSL.

PositiveSSL covers the lower-cost part of the portfolio and includes single-domain DV, wildcard, multi-domain, multi-domain wildcard, EV and EV multi-domain certificates. EssentialSSL concentrates on affordable DV and wildcard protection. InstantSSL moves into organization validation and includes Pro, Premium and Premium Wildcard variants.

The flagship SectigoSSL family covers DV, OV, EV, wildcard, UCC, multi-domain and multi-domain wildcard certificates. Warranty levels reach as high as $1.75 million on selected EV products. EnterpriseSSL targets larger organizations with OV, EV, wildcard and multi-domain products carrying warranties of up to $2 million.

Maximum SAN capacity depends on the specific certificate. General multi-domain configurations can cover up to 250 domains, while some PositiveSSL and Sectigo OV products allow as many as 1,000 domains. Certain product configurations have also supported capacities reaching 2,000 domains. Organizations requiring hundreds or thousands of SAN entries should therefore match their required capacity to the exact certificate before ordering.

One of the most significant additions is Sectigo ACME Certificate-as-a-Service. This auto-renewing DV service uses ACME to automate certificate requests, validation, installation and renewal. It supports standard domains and wildcard domains, unlimited certificate issuance for licensed domain coverage, HTTP-01 and DNS-01 validation and common server environments including Apache, NGINX, Microsoft IIS, Docker and Kubernetes.

Certificate automation has become increasingly important because public SSL/TLS certificate lifetimes are becoming progressively shorter. Sectigo moved to 199-day certificate issuance in March 2026, while industry changes are moving public certificates toward eventual maximum validity periods of about 47 days. Traditional multi-year purchases therefore represent a prepaid service term rather than one certificate remaining valid for the entire purchased period. Certificates must be periodically reissued as maximum certificate lifetimes decrease.

Code Signing Certificates are available in standard and EV versions for software publishers. Private keys must be protected through compliant hardware such as an HSM or approved hardware token. Since February 2026, normal code-signing certificates are limited to one-year validity. HSM-based orders can still cover service periods of up to three years, although a new maximum-validity certificate must be reissued every year.

EV code signing remains the higher-assurance option for organizations requiring enhanced identity validation. Microsoft changed SmartScreen behavior in 2024, meaning EV code signing no longer provides an automatic shortcut to immediate SmartScreen reputation simply because EV validation has been completed.

Email and Document Signing is available through S/MIME and personal authentication certificates. These products can digitally sign email, encrypt messages, authenticate the sender and sign documents. Larger companies can use Sectigo Enterprise S/MIME for centralized organization-wide deployment and management.

Website-security products extend the service beyond digital certificates. SiteLock combines malware detection, vulnerability scanning, automated remediation and CMS vulnerability protection. Higher service levels add features such as a web application firewall and additional performance and security functions.

CodeGuard provides independent website backup and restoration. Capacity ranges from smaller configurations intended for a single website with 1 GB of storage to packages supporting as many as 100 sites and 100 GB. Features include automated backups, database backup, file-change monitoring, malware scanning, 90-day retention and one-click restoration. Because backups remain independent of the web-hosting account, CodeGuard can also simplify recovery or migration when customers change hosting providers.

HackerGuardian adds vulnerability assessment and PCI DSS compliance scanning. The Standard package covers up to five external IP addresses and includes unlimited scans and ASV reports, while Enterprise configurations are intended for larger infrastructures requiring greater scanning capacity.

The enterprise portfolio extends substantially beyond retail SSL. Sectigo Certificate Manager provides certificate discovery and lifecycle management, while Private PKI allows organizations to deploy managed private certificate-authority environments without building the entire CA infrastructure internally.

Private PKI supports automated certificate provisioning and renewal using ACME, EST and SCEP, together with certificate discovery, role-based access controls, reporting and secure key management. Enterprise S/MIME, enterprise code signing and HackerGuardian add further options for organizations managing larger certificate and security environments.

Partners are another important part of the business. The Reseller Program combines wholesale pricing, centralized certificate provisioning, APIs, automation integrations, WHMCS-oriented tools, bulk discounts and white-label sales capabilities. SectigoStore works with more than 15,000 resellers. An Affiliate Program is also available for partners that prefer referral commissions rather than managing certificate provisioning directly.
