📄 Editorial Review

SeaNet is a long-established Internet service provider from the Seattle, Washington area, operating since 1994. The company is part of IsoFusion (isofusion.com), a privately held regional Internet and communications group serving customers across the Puget Sound area. SeaNet combines traditional web hosting with Internet access, DNS services, email, business connectivity, and telecommunications products.

The hosting portfolio includes Unix Web Hosting and Windows Web Hosting. Unix hosting runs with Apache and includes PHP, MySQL, phpMyAdmin, Perl, FTP access, website statistics, raw access logs, email forwarding, POP/IMAP mailboxes, and application installation support for software such as WordPress and Joomla. Bronze, Silver, and Gold packages range from 50 MB to 500 MB of web space and from 10 GB to 40 GB of monthly data transfer. Larger packages add databases, extra domains, additional FTP users, autoresponders, and SSL functionality.

The Unix platform still references FreeBSD 5.4 and PHP 5, making it primarily suitable for older websites and legacy applications unless newer runtime versions are available on request. Anyone planning to host a current CMS, framework, or custom PHP application should confirm the exact software versions before moving a production website.

Windows hosting is available for customers requiring Microsoft IIS and ASP compatibility. The Silver package includes 150 MB storage, 20 GB monthly transfer, and one hosted domain, while Gold increases the limits to 500 MB, 40 GB transfer, and two domains. The Windows environment references Windows Server 2003, another indication that this service is mainly relevant to legacy applications rather than modern Windows hosting workloads.

DNS Hosting is also available separately for customers that need authoritative DNS without purchasing a complete web-hosting package. Secure web hosting can be added through SeaNet's Secure Site service, with support for customer-supplied SSL certificates or a shared certificate arrangement. The secure-hosting setup still includes older technologies such as Stronghold 2.0 and a shared Verisign certificate option, so businesses operating current e-commerce or authentication systems should use a modern dedicated certificate configuration instead.

SeaNet remains unusual among hosting providers because it still maintains several traditional Internet-access products. Budget+ Dial-Up includes 60 hours of monthly access, one mailbox, personal web space, nationwide access numbers, spam and virus filtering, and telephone support. Unlimited+ Dial-Up removes the monthly usage limit and includes three mailboxes.

Business customers can also obtain T1 Internet access, providing symmetrical 1.5 Mbps service under 12-, 24-, or 36-month contracts. Depending on contract duration, installation and router incentives may be included. T1 availability covers portions of the Seattle-area networks operated by CenturyLink (centurylink.com) and Verizon (verizon.com).

Metered Ethernet is another specialized service, particularly for tenants in Columbia Center. Connections can reach 10 Mbps and include static IP addressing, Gold web hosting, and one year of domain registration. Pricing depends on the cost of connecting the customer location to SeaNet's core Ethernet infrastructure.

SeaNet also offers TrueRing residential VoIP, including caller ID, voicemail-to-email, call forwarding, three-way calling, E911, online account management, and calling packages covering the United States and Canada.

The wider IsoFusion group expands the available infrastructure beyond SeaNet's direct services. Colocation Northwest provides colocation services in the Puget Sound region, while related IsoFusion operations cover fiber connectivity, dedicated infrastructure, VPS, cloud services, and business communications.

SeaNet remains an English-language, US-focused provider with services priced primarily in USD. Its strongest fit is with long-term customers, older websites, regional Internet connectivity, DNS, email, and legacy applications. The hosting platform is less suitable for customers expecting current-generation PHP environments, large SSD quotas, container hosting, managed WordPress platforms, or modern cloud automation.
