📄 Editorial Review

Rocksoft Cloud is a Malaysian hosting and cloud provider with roots dating back to July 10, 2005. The business began as RockSoft Web Solutions and later operated through RockSoft Sdn. Bhd., registration number 818910-A. With roughly two decades in the market, Rocksoft has developed from traditional web hosting into a broader provider of domains, cloud servers and managed Internet services.

The service range covers cPanel Shared Hosting, Windows Hosting, Cloud VPS, Cloud Servers, Domain Registration, Domain Transfers, DNS Hosting, Bulk SMS Hosting and Managed Services. Domain-related services also include WHOIS tools and WHOIS privacy where supported. The website is in English, and hosting products can be priced in Malaysian ringgit or U.S. dollars, with MYR being the main currency for the Malaysian market.

cPanel Web Hosting is built around NVMe storage and clearly allocated CPU and memory resources. The range runs from Micro NVMe through Starter, Business, Business Premium and Corporate plans. Entry packages are suitable for smaller websites and email hosting, while the larger configurations reach 5 CPU cores, 5 GB RAM and 500 GB NVMe storage. Depending on the package, customers can host multiple websites, databases and email accounts.

The Linux hosting environment includes cPanel, free SSL certificates, a website builder and one-click application installation. Common platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Moodle, OpenCart, Magento, Zen Cart and osTicket can be used. Daily remote backups are included, which is particularly valuable for customers running business websites or frequently updated CMS installations.

Migration assistance is also included for compatible hosting environments. cPanel-to-cPanel and Plesk-to-Plesk transfers can be handled without an additional migration fee, reducing the effort required when moving an existing website from another hosting company.

Windows Hosting is available for customers requiring Microsoft technologies. These plans support ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, PHP and MySQL, making them suitable for both traditional Windows applications and mixed development environments. NVMe storage, daily remote backups and migration assistance are included, while larger packages provide significantly more storage for business applications and database-driven websites.

The Cloud Server range provides virtual machines with root-level access and a dedicated cloud-management interface. Configurations start with 1 vCPU and 1 GB RAM and extend to systems with 8 vCPUs and 8 GB RAM. The platform uses SSD storage and enterprise server hardware, including Intel Xeon Cascade Lake processors and ECC registered memory. Linux virtual machines can normally be provisioned very quickly, while Windows installations require only a few minutes.

Cloud infrastructure also includes physical datacenter security, redundant power arrangements and DDoS protection. These servers are more appropriate for users who require greater isolation and administrative control than conventional shared hosting can provide.

One point worth checking before ordering a Cloud VPS is the exact storage allocation of the selected package. CloudVPS-04 lists only 6 GB SSD storage, despite neighboring configurations having much larger capacities such as 100 GB and 450 GB. Customers choosing that tier should confirm the specification before payment.

Domain Registration is another important part of Rocksoft's business. The company handles international extensions such as .com, .net and .org together with Malaysian extensions including .com.my, .my, .net.my, .org.my and .name.my. Registration, renewal and domain transfers can all be managed through the same customer account.

Incoming domain transfers require the domain to be unlocked and the appropriate EPP or transfer authorization code. The transfer process normally adds another year to the registration period while preserving the time already remaining on the domain.

DNS Hosting and Bulk SMS Hosting are also available, extending the portfolio beyond conventional website hosting. Managed services and scheduled technical consultations give business customers another option when they need help with migrations, infrastructure or more customized requirements.
