📄 Editorial Review

Rackone is an Italian hosting, cloud infrastructure, data-center and cybersecurity provider founded in 2014 and headquartered in Noventa di Piave, in the province of Venice. The business operates as Rackone S.r.l., with Daniele Turcato closely associated with the company from its early development and serving as co-founder and CEO. Rackone remains a relatively compact technical organization, while its infrastructure supports more than 700 active customers and over 2,400 active virtual machines.

The company has developed far beyond conventional shared hosting. Its portfolio covers Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, CMS Hosting, E-commerce Hosting, Pro Hosting, Linux VPS, Windows VPS, Virtual Private Cloud, Virtual Datacenter, Public Cloud, Edge Cloud, S3 Storage, Dedicated Servers, Housing and Colocation, Proxmox infrastructure, Cloud Backup, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Domains, SSL Certificates, CloudMail, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and cybersecurity services. System administration, monitoring, migrations, Proxmox consulting and professional training complete the infrastructure side of the business.

Rackone operates its own main data center in Noventa di Piave, near Venice, while additional facilities extend its reach through an Edge network covering ten data-center locations. This creates a useful combination of direct control over the core facility and geographic redundancy through additional Italian and European sites.

The standard Web Hosting platform uses NVMe storage, LiteSpeed and HTTP/3, with daily backups, SSL certificates, migration assistance and a domain included with qualifying annual subscriptions. The main hosting configurations range from small single-site accounts to considerably larger packages with as much as 100 GB of storage. Higher plans allow multiple or unlimited websites, email accounts and databases. cPanel is used for account administration, while security includes technologies such as Imunify360 and Patchman.

Pro Hosting SSD is intended for websites and online stores that require more resources and isolation than conventional shared hosting. Rackone also works with Magento, PrestaShop and WooCommerce environments, while larger e-commerce projects can be moved to more advanced web and database architectures when a single hosting account is no longer sufficient.

The Cloud VPS range is one of the most complete parts of the service portfolio. Linux and Windows machines are available as unmanaged or managed servers, with NVMe storage and traffic included without separate ingress or egress charges. Standard Linux configurations range from 1 vCore, 1 GB RAM and 25 GB storage to substantially larger virtual machines with 8 vCores, 16 GB RAM and 320 GB storage. Windows VPS packages include the Windows Server license. Daily backup is included, resources can be resized, and geographically separated backup or disaster-recovery options can be added. VPS resources are provisioned without overbooking.

For companies requiring a more private and flexible cloud environment, Virtual Datacenter provides dedicated pools of vCPU, RAM and NVMe storage on redundant Proxmox clusters. Customers can create and resize virtual machines, configure private networks and automate deployments through APIs and Terraform. Both fixed-resource and consumption-based arrangements are available, making the service suitable for companies that need more flexibility than a collection of independent VPS accounts.

Rackone has a particularly strong specialization in Proxmox. It became the first Proxmox Gold Partner in Italy and also operates as an Authorized Training Partner. Services include Proxmox VE subscriptions, VMware-to-Proxmox migrations, consulting, preconfigured physical servers, high-availability clusters, Proxmox Backup Server, PBS Cloud, Proxmox Datacenter Manager and certified training. Physical deployments can range from an individual server to complete redundant clusters.

Backup and disaster-recovery services are another important part of the company. Acronis Cloud Backup supports physical systems, virtual machines, servers, computers and Microsoft 365 environments, with immutable-storage options and unlimited restores. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace data can also be backed up independently of the original SaaS environment. Rackone operates as an Acronis Platinum Service Provider.

CloudMail provides standalone professional email for customers that do not require a complete Microsoft or Google productivity suite. Mailboxes include 25 GB of space, IMAP/POP access, webmail, anti-spam and antivirus filtering and daily backup. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace services are also available with migration and technical assistance.

Domain registration covers more than 200 extensions and includes DNS management, redirects and WHOIS privacy where supported by the registry. SSL certificates are already included with normal hosting accounts, while customers needing commercial certificates can choose products from RapidSSL and GeoTrust, including DV, OV, wildcard and EV options.

Physical infrastructure remains an important part of Rackone through Dedicated Servers and Housing / Colocation. Dedicated systems can be unmanaged or administered by Rackone, while colocation ranges from partial-rack deployments to complete racks within its Italian data-center network. Dedicated infrastructure is better suited to customers requiring exclusive hardware, custom virtualization, private clusters or more control over network and storage architecture.

Rackone holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certifications, with ISO/IEC 27017 and ISO/IEC 27018 controls included in its information-security certification. The current certifications were issued in March 2026 and are valid through March 2029. The company is also registered as a supplier through the Italian MePA public-procurement system.

The website is available in Italian and English, although Italian remains the principal language for much of the technical and support information. Services are priced in EUR, normally excluding VAT. The overall setup is particularly suitable for Italian and Central European companies that prefer regional infrastructure, direct technical assistance and clearly defined data-center locations.
