ProHoster is an international hosting and infrastructure provider operating since 2012. Over the years, the company has developed a considerably wider portfolio than a conventional shared-hosting provider, covering Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, VPS/VDS, Windows VPS, Dedicated Servers, Domain Registration, SSL Certificates, VPN, IPv4/IPv6 Leasing, DDoS Protection, Control Panel Licenses, Website Builder, Website Migration and Server Administration. ProHoster serves customers in more than 120 countries, while its company profile places the organization in the 11–50 employee range.

Shared hosting is one of the easiest ways to start with ProHoster. Plans use SSD storage and include cPanel, unlimited traffic, free SSL, basic DDoS protection, automatic daily backups and one-click installation for popular content-management systems. WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OpenCart and other commonly used applications can be installed without manually configuring every component.

The PHP environment is quite flexible for shared hosting. Individual websites can use different PHP versions, with releases from PHP 7.4 through PHP 8.5 available together with configurable extensions. CloudLinux provides account isolation, while FastCGI is used for PHP execution. This makes the service practical both for newer applications and for older websites that have not yet been migrated to the latest PHP generation.

A 14-day free hosting trial gives new customers enough time to evaluate the service before paying. Website migration is also available without an additional migration charge, and a transferred website can receive an additional hosting month. This is particularly useful for customers moving from another cPanel-based provider who want to reduce the amount of manual work involved in transferring files, databases, domains and email accounts.

WordPress Hosting combines the same underlying hosting environment with WordPress-oriented configuration. NVMe or SSD storage, current PHP versions, backups, automatic updates and security features make it suitable for blogs, corporate websites and smaller online stores. It remains conventional managed web hosting rather than a highly specialized enterprise WordPress platform, but it covers the requirements of most ordinary WordPress projects at a relatively low monthly cost.

An integrated AI Website Builder provides another route for customers who do not want to install a CMS. More than 200 responsive templates are available for business websites, landing pages, blogs and online shops. Existing websites can also be imported into the builder. Hosting, SSL, site-building tools and domain-related functions can therefore be managed within the same service ecosystem.

VPS/VDS hosting is considerably more flexible and starts at a very low price compared with dedicated hardware. ProHoster uses both KVM and OpenVZ virtualization, with Linux and Windows options available depending on the selected plan. Common operating systems include Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS and AlmaLinux, while KVM servers can also work with custom operating-system images.

VPS activation normally takes around 15 minutes or less. Root access gives customers full control over software installation, web servers, databases and operating-system configuration. SSD and NVMe storage are available, basic DDoS protection is included, and network speeds depend on the selected location and tariff.

There are several usage restrictions worth considering before ordering a VPS. Cryptocurrency mining and blockchain nodes are prohibited, as are game servers, while SMTP port 25 is restricted on basic VPS services. The platform is therefore better suited to websites, applications, development environments, business software, private services and remote desktop workloads than to gaming, mining or bulk-email infrastructure.

Dedicated Servers are one of the strongest parts of the portfolio because of the geographic choice available. Server locations include Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Estonia and Switzerland, together with Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Seattle and Chicago in the United States. The wider infrastructure network also reaches Spain and Greece.

Entry dedicated configurations typically use Xeon-class processors with around 32 GB RAM, while substantially larger systems are available with dual Xeon processors and as much as 512 GB RAM. Root access, Linux and Windows installation, custom ISO images and remote IPMI/KVM access are available on many configurations. Network connectivity varies by data center, with 1 Gbps server ports commonly available and considerably larger aggregate uplinks used at the facility level.

ProHoster also handles Domain Registration across more than 700 extensions. Domain-management functions include DNS records, registrar locking, EPP transfer codes, forwarding and WHOIS privacy where the registry permits it. Free third-level ProHoster domains can also be used for testing projects or temporary websites.

SSL support begins with free Let's Encrypt certificates for hosted websites. Commercial certificates are available separately for customers that require paid validation products, wildcard coverage or multi-domain certificates.

The VPN service extends ProHoster beyond conventional web hosting. More than 75 server locations are available, with WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2 and other protocols supported. P2P traffic, a kill switch, traffic obfuscation and a no-logs policy are included. The current tariff supports up to 10 simultaneous devices.

ProHoster is also an official RIPE NCC LIR, which makes its IP-address services more substantial than the simple extra-IP options commonly attached to hosting accounts. IPv4 and IPv6 address space can be leased, including PA allocations registered in the RIPE Database. Reverse DNS, WHOIS-related configuration and assistance with larger address blocks are available, and customers with more advanced networking requirements can also work with ASN and BGP-related configurations.

Dedicated DDoS Protection covers network and application-layer attacks, including Layer 3, Layer 4 and Layer 7 traffic. The protection infrastructure uses Arbor and Juniper technology and can handle approximately 1.2 Tbps and 500 million packets per second. HTTPS filtering and automated attack detection are part of the protection environment.

Server administration is available separately for Linux and Windows systems. Administrators can work through SSH or remote KVM access and handle installation, configuration, troubleshooting, networking and general server maintenance. This gives customers the choice between managing an inexpensive VPS themselves or adding professional administration when required.

ProHoster primarily prices services in US dollars. Visa and MasterCard are supported together with alternative payment systems and cryptocurrency options. The terms also account specifically for USDT TRC20 payments.

Localization is unusually extensive. English and Russian are the most practical versions, while Romanian, Dutch, Albanian, Armenian and many other languages are also available. Additional localized versions cover languages including Lao, Somali, Samoan, Scottish Gaelic, Nepali, Yoruba, Chichewa and Māori. Translation quality varies between languages, so English remains preferable when checking technical conditions or contractual details.

The company uses a modern responsive website rather than an older fixed-width hosting design, and the product organization makes it relatively easy to move from basic hosting toward VPS, dedicated infrastructure, networking services and server administration.
