PrivateAlps is a privacy-oriented hosting provider founded in 2019, with infrastructure centered on Switzerland and additional services available from Germany. Its account system supports pseudonymous registration, cryptocurrency payments and minimal personal-data collection, making it particularly suitable for privacy-conscious customers, security professionals and technically experienced server administrators.

The product range is considerably broader than that of most privacy-focused hosting companies. It includes Linux VPS, Windows RDP servers, NVMe VPS, storage VPS, security-oriented virtual machines, shared web hosting, Tor hosting, dedicated servers, GPU servers, high-bandwidth bare-metal infrastructure and VPN access. Most services are available in Zurich, Switzerland, while Frankfurt, Germany is also offered for selected configurations. Additional European locations are planned for London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Reykjavík and Stockholm.

Account registration does not require identity documents. A pseudonym and a functioning email address are sufficient, while cryptocurrency transaction identifiers are retained only where necessary for payment administration. This approach gives customers a higher level of privacy than conventional hosting platforms that require full billing details or identity verification.

Linux VPS uses KVM virtualization and includes full root access, a dedicated IPv4 address, operating-system reinstallation, custom ISO support, encrypted storage options and Layer 3–4 DDoS protection. Smaller plans are suitable for private websites, VPN gateways, development environments and lightweight applications, while larger configurations provide up to 10 virtual CPU cores, 16 GB RAM and 150 GB SSD storage.

Windows RDP servers provide administrative access to Windows Server and supported Windows desktop editions, including Windows 10 and Windows 11 configurations. These systems work well for remote workspaces, automation, application hosting, software testing and workloads that require a complete Windows environment.

The NVMe VPS range uses faster solid-state storage and dedicated processor resources for databases, application servers and latency-sensitive workloads. Customers retain full administrative control, can reinstall the operating system and may deploy custom images on supported plans.

Storage VPS combines an NVMe system disk with a larger Ceph-backed storage volume. The storage platform uses RADOS block devices, replication and redundancy instead of relying on a single local disk. The principal storage configuration includes 5 TB of SAN capacity, a 50 GB NVMe boot disk, 8 GB RAM and 20 TB of monthly transfer.

Security specialists can choose preconfigured Kali Linux VPS and Parrot Security VPS systems. Kali Linux includes a large collection of penetration-testing, network-analysis, digital-forensics and security-auditing tools. Parrot Security provides a lighter environment for privacy research, forensic work and authorized security testing. Unauthorized attacks, malware distribution, phishing, outgoing denial-of-service activity and other illegal operations remain prohibited.

Conventional web hosting uses cPanel and includes PHP version selection, MySQL databases, email accounts, FTP access, free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates and one-click installation for WordPress and other applications. Packages range from single-domain hosting to larger plans supporting several websites and up to 500 GB of storage. Domain registration must be purchased separately.

Tor hosting provides managed .onion services with private administration, database support, encrypted payments and generous bandwidth allocations. Packages can accommodate between one and five onion services. Tor exit nodes are permitted when their activity remains within the service limits and acceptable-use rules, although all customers remain subject to Swiss law.

The dedicated-server portfolio covers several generations of enterprise hardware. Mid-End Servers use dual Intel Xeon X5670 processors with DDR3 memory and are suitable for customers who need substantial memory, storage and bandwidth at a lower cost. High-End Servers use dual Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4 processors, ECC memory and SSD storage.

Raised-End Servers use dual Intel Xeon Gold 6134 processors, while Turbo-End Servers move to newer dual Intel Xeon Gold 6430 platforms with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage. The AMD Server category uses AMD EPYC 7452 processors and supports 10 or 25 Gbps connectivity. Availability can vary considerably, especially for the newer enterprise configurations.

GPU Servers combine bare-metal Intel Xeon systems with NVIDIA Tesla accelerators such as the P4 and T4. These configurations are suitable for machine learning, inference, rendering, video processing, scientific computing and GPU-assisted applications. Root access, SSD storage, dedicated networking and IPMI remote management are included.

The most specialized products are the 40 Gbps, 100 Gbps and 200 Gbps dedicated servers. These systems include non-shared ports, multiple IPv4 addresses, IPv6 allocation, IPMI access and unmetered traffic. They are designed for enterprise workloads, private network gateways, large data transfers, content delivery, streaming platforms and other applications that require exceptionally high sustained bandwidth.

A separate VPN service uses OpenVPN, AES-256 encryption, a NAT firewall and a 10 Gbps uplink. It includes unlimited traffic, allows peer-to-peer transfers and supports one device per subscription. Browsing activity, connection histories and VPN access logs are not retained.

The client platform is developed and self-hosted using open-source components. Passwords, access tokens and similar credentials are not stored in clear text. Customers remain responsible for securing their servers, maintaining their applications and ensuring that their content complies with applicable law.
