PhotonVPS is a United States hosting provider operated by Profuse Solutions Inc., with a history that reaches back to 2001. The business initially concentrated on shared hosting and shell accounts, expanded into reseller hosting, and made virtual private servers a core service in 2009. Managed VPS and dedicated infrastructure followed as the company’s customer base and network operations grew.

The broader Profuse Solutions organization dates from 1999. PhotonVPS later became the VPS-focused brand within the same group as Psychz Networks, which handles much of the associated physical-server, cloud and network infrastructure. This relationship gives PhotonVPS customers a practical upgrade path from an inexpensive virtual server to larger cloud deployments, high-bandwidth systems and dedicated hardware.

The main product range now consists of Linux cloud VPS, Windows cloud VPS, Forex VPS, continuous data-protection backup services, server-control-panel licenses and reseller accounts. Shared hosting played an important role during the company’s earlier development, but it is no longer a central part of the active service portfolio.

Linux Cloud VPS plans use KVM virtualization with SSD or NVMe storage arranged in RAID-10 configurations. Standard resources extend from 2 GB to 32 GB of RAM, with one to four virtual CPU allocations and storage capacities ranging from 30 GB to 640 GB. Network ports vary between 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps according to the location and selected platform.

Linux operating-system templates include Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS and Fedora. Most Linux servers can be deployed within approximately ten minutes after payment confirmation and account screening. Customers retain administrative access and can reinstall the operating system, change passwords, control the virtual machine and monitor resource consumption through the client area.

Linux VPS locations cover Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Ashburn, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Moscow, Johannesburg, Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul and São Paulo. R1Soft continuous data protection supports block-level backups, several recovery points, file-level restoration, virtual-machine recovery and bare-metal restoration.

Backup data can use AES-256 encryption, integrity checks and replication between local and remote systems. Integration with cPanel, Plesk and InterWorx provides account-level recovery for hosting environments, while the separate web interface allows administrators to select restore points and recover files, databases or complete systems.

The reseller program is suitable for developers, hosting businesses and IT providers that want to sell virtual servers under their own customer relationships. Discounts begin at 5% for accounts maintaining between five and ten active servers and increase progressively to 20% for resellers with more than 50 servers.

Resellers remain responsible for billing their own customers and handling first-line support. They must also maintain an active sales channel and keep their PhotonVPS account in good standing.

This pattern may indicate technology stagnation, limited business development, and a company operating mostly in a dormant or maintenance-focused mode. The main visible update appears to be the addition of newer NVMe SSD VPS plans, but this alone does not significantly change the overall impression of a hosting portfolio with limited modernization.
