📄 Editorial Review

OXABOX is a Tunisian cloud-hosting and managed-infrastructure provider founded in 2010. The company operates within the TANIT WEB group and maintains a presence in Tunis and London, serving customers across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Hatem Abdennadher leads the company as Chief Executive Officer, while the organization has an estimated workforce of 11–50 employees.

The service portfolio is designed primarily for businesses, developers, media organizations, educational institutions and customers requiring managed infrastructure. The strongest areas are cloud application hosting, managed virtual servers, clustered WordPress, hosted email, backup, cybersecurity, file collaboration and business communication tools.

OxaCloud is the central cloud platform. Built around Jelastic/Virtuozzo PaaS technology, it allows customers to create, deploy and automatically scale applications across several geographic regions. Vertical scaling adjusts CPU and memory consumption according to demand, while horizontal scaling adds additional nodes when traffic or application load increases.

The platform supports PHP, Java, Ruby, Docker containers and numerous database technologies. Available application servers include Apache, NGINX, Tomcat, Jetty, GlassFish, JBoss, WildFly and TomEE. Database options include MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, CouchDB and Neo4j.

Customers can manage environments through the browser dashboard, API, command-line tools and SSH. A built-in marketplace simplifies the installation of WordPress, Joomla, e-commerce platforms, development frameworks and other preconfigured applications.

OxaCloud uses consumption-based billing rather than limiting every customer to a rigid package. Reserved resources benefit from volume discounts, while dynamic cloudlets are charged according to actual use. A 14-day free trial is available without requiring a credit card, giving developers time to test compatibility, performance and expected resource consumption.

The VMware managed-server range provides isolated virtual machines on VMware infrastructure. Configurations range from smaller systems with 1 GB RAM to larger servers offering 32 GB RAM and as much as 1 TB of storage. Different management levels are available, making these servers suitable for business applications, databases, websites and workloads that require more isolation than an OpenVZ container.

Some VMware package specifications require confirmation before purchase. In particular, the VM-4 package displays hardware resources similar to the smaller VM-1 configuration despite having a higher monthly price. CPU, memory, storage and management responsibilities should therefore be confirmed in the final quotation.

OpenVZ VPS is the more economical Linux server option. Customers receive root access and can deploy Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS and other compatible Linux distributions. These servers are suitable for websites, development environments and lightweight applications that do not require complete hardware virtualization.

WordPress Easy combines dedicated cloud resources with Plesk and WordPress Toolkit. It includes one-click WordPress installation, centralized management, cloning, staging, synchronization, software updates, migration tools, security checks and WP-CLI access. Plans also include a domain, SSL protection and technical support.

For higher-traffic projects, WordPress Cluster uses a distributed architecture with NGINX load balancing, scalable NGINX/PHP web nodes, MariaDB Galera database clustering and shared storage. Redis caching can be added to improve performance, while Let’s Encrypt SSL and WordPress Multisite are supported.

This clustered configuration is suitable for busy publications, online stores, corporate portals and other critical websites that cannot depend on a single web server or database node. Additional web and database resources can be introduced as traffic increases.

Backup and security services are built around Acronis Backup Cloud, Acronis file synchronization and Symantec-hosted email and web protection. The Symantec range includes anti-spam, antivirus, data-loss prevention, attachment analysis, URL filtering and web-access controls. Acronis services cover system protection, ransomware recovery, file collaboration and Microsoft 365 backup.

The SSL portfolio includes single-domain, wildcard, Extended Validation, multi-domain SAN, Exchange UCC and Organization Validation certificates. These certificates can secure websites, subdomains, public IP addresses, mail platforms and Microsoft Exchange environments. Some certificate descriptions still use older vendor terminology, so the current certificate authority, validation requirements and warranty should be confirmed before ordering.

Hosted email is available through Exchange Online and Microsoft 365. Exchange services synchronize email, calendars, contacts and tasks across desktop computers, web browsers and mobile devices. Depending on the selected package, customers can add Outlook licensing, email security, archiving, backup and mailbox migration.

Most Exchange packages include mailboxes of approximately 50 GB, although limits and optional features vary. These services are particularly useful for companies that prefer managed Microsoft email without maintaining their own Exchange servers.

Go Sitebuilder is a mobile-first website and e-commerce builder developed by BaseKit and hosted through Microsoft Azure. It includes responsive templates, domain management, email, blogging, SEO tools, stock control, discount vouchers and online payments through PayPal, Stripe and major payment cards.

Acronis Files Cloud provides file synchronization and sharing from desktop computers and mobile devices. Storage is located in the United Kingdom and includes FIPS 140-2 encryption, transaction records and enterprise audit trails.

Nextcloud combines hosted file storage, document collaboration, email, calendars and video communication in a dedicated environment. ownCloud provides similar collaboration capabilities together with password-protected links, link-expiration controls, guest access, two-factor authentication, ransomware protection, file firewall rules, end-to-end encryption and activity auditing.

The educational portfolio includes Moodle LMS, which supports schools, universities and corporate training programs. It includes course administration, dashboards, calendars, progress tracking, notifications and mobile access.

Jitsi Meet can be integrated with Moodle for scheduled online lessons, video meetings, moderation, screen sharing, recording and YouTube streaming. MeetUpCall provides managed conference calling with HD audio, call recording, screen sharing, smartphone dial-in and international access numbers.

The company also has experience with infrastructure for streaming, radio, television, telecom, news and other critical applications. Dedicated servers and colocation are available as quotation-based services rather than clearly defined self-service packages.

The website supports English and French, although translation coverage is inconsistent and some pages combine both languages. Fixed-price services on the international website are generally displayed in British pounds, while the OxaCloud calculator can use euros. Billing currency, VAT and exchange-rate handling should be confirmed before payment.

The website remains functional on desktop and mobile devices, but the design and some editorial content are dated. Several sections still use older product terminology, the footer carries an old copyright year, and some services alternate between active pricing and empty pricing-table placeholders. Legal and cancellation information also retains references to older third-party account systems.
