OvalHost is an Iceland-focused hosting and infrastructure provider operating since 2008 through IceNetworks Ltd. The company was established by two Scandinavian web developers and now serves customers in more than 50 countries. Its services are particularly suitable for privacy-conscious customers, international projects that need an Icelandic server location, and businesses looking for monthly hosting without being limited to shared plans.

The service range includes shared hosting, KVM VPS, dedicated servers, colocation, domain registration, SSL certificates, website migration, DDoS protection, email hosting tools and website builders. Traditional reseller hosting is not available as a separate product, although VPS and dedicated servers can support reseller-oriented deployments when configured with an appropriate hosting control panel.

Shared hosting is available through Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum packages. Resources range from 1 GB of storage with support for one website to 20 GB of storage with unrestricted traffic and unlimited hosted domains. Every package includes cPanel, LiteSpeed, SSD storage, email accounts, MySQL databases, PHP version selection, phpMyAdmin, automated backups, free SSL certificates, DDoS filtering and one-click software installation.

Customers can install WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and hundreds of other applications through the automated installer. SitePad and Weebly are available for customers who prefer a visual website builder, while some older areas of the website still refer to Trendy. Hosting accounts can also use the integrated Cloudflare CDN option, along with spam filtering and shared SSL tools where applicable.

The virtual-server range uses KVM virtualization, providing proper resource isolation and full root access. Six standard configurations are available, beginning with 768 MB of memory, 20 GB of storage and 200 GB of monthly traffic. The largest regular VPS package includes 4 GB of memory, 80 GB of storage and 800 GB of monthly transfer. Each VPS includes a dedicated IP address, Linux operating-system choices and a network connection of up to 1 Gbps.

Dedicated servers begin with an Intel Xeon E3-1220 v3 configuration and extend to systems with dual Intel Xeon E5-2403 processors. Standard configurations include between 4 GB and 32 GB of memory, monthly data transfer between 10 TB and 20 TB, and storage based mainly on 500 GB or 1 TB hard drives.

The dedicated hardware is suitable for backup systems, legacy software, storage-heavy projects and workloads that do not require a recent processor generation. Customers running demanding databases, virtualization platforms or CPU-intensive applications should confirm the exact processor revision, disk condition, RAID configuration, replacement policy and available upgrade options before ordering.

Colocation services range from single-server 1U installations to complete private racks. The 1U package includes power, a 1 Gbps RJ45 network connection, three IP addresses and 2 TB of traffic. Full-rack packages support power capacities of approximately 7 kW or 14 kW and include one hour of remote-hands assistance.

The wider product range includes domain registration and transfers, RapidSSL and Sectigo certificates, extended-validation certificates, wildcard SSL, multi-domain SSL and an advanced website-migration service. The domain catalog includes common generic extensions, country-code domains and a selection of newer specialist extensions.

Privacy is one of OvalHost’s strongest characteristics. Accounts can be opened with limited personal information when the selected service and payment method permit it. Additional identification may still be required for domain registrations, fraud prevention, payment verification or legal compliance. Credit-card and PayPal credentials are processed by the relevant payment providers rather than stored directly by OvalHost.

The customer portal supports approximately 26 languages, including English, Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian. Customers can display prices in EUR, USD, GBP, CAD, AUD and SGD, which makes the ordering system practical for an international audience.

The main website uses an older design with narrow layouts, duplicated information and occasional inconsistencies between the marketing sections and the customer portal. Some pages still show previous US-dollar prices or older technical specifications, while the checkout system uses newer euro-denominated pricing. The client portal is more functional and better localized, but the final configuration, recurring price and included resources should be checked carefully before payment.
