Founded in 2009, OnlyDomains is a New Zealand domain registrar and web-presence provider. Domains remain the core of the business, supplemented by shared and WordPress hosting, business email, a website builder, SSL certificates and domain-security services. The company serves more than 200,000 customers and maintains a domain catalogue spanning hundreds of country-code, generic and newer extensions. Its current master price table contains more than 900 entries, so breadth of domain choice is a defining advantage rather than a small addition to a hosting catalogue.

The legal operator is CentralNic NZ Ltd, New Zealand company number 5846027, with OnlyDomains retained as its trading name. The brand joined the former CentralNic organization through the Instra Group acquisition, completed on 14 January 2016 for £16.02 million in total consideration. CentralNic Group later adopted the name Team Internet Group plc in 2023. OnlyDomains therefore combines its New Zealand origins and Auckland base with the registrar relationships, international reach and operational scale of a larger domain-industry group. Its legal integration advanced on 1 January 2022, when OnlyDomains amalgamated into CentralNic NZ Limited without losing the established customer-facing brand.

Domain services accommodate individual buyers as well as businesses administering substantial portfolios. The account includes registration, renewal, incoming transfer, bulk registration, bulk transfer, WHOIS lookup, DNS management, nameserver changes, URL forwarding and authorization-code management. Bulk transfers support as many as 1,000 domains in one operation. ICANN accreditation places the registrar within ICANN and registry policy frameworks. An availability result is not final registry confirmation, premium names can carry prices set upstream, and registrants must maintain accurate contact data. Failure to answer a verification request within 15 days can result in suspension or cancellation.

The range covers familiar extensions such as .com, national choices including .nz, .au, .ro and .eu, and a long selection of specialized newer endings. Optional Domain Protection adds safeguards against unauthorized account changes and transfers. First-year registration, renewal, redemption and restoration charges can differ sharply, making the extension-specific price table essential for anyone managing more than a few names. The hosting range is shared rather than infrastructure-led. WordPress hosting follows the same Kiwi, Kea and Kakapo plan structure. Automated WordPress installation and updates, free email, free SSL and access to more than 1,000 themes and plugins are included. Softaculous allows customers to configure their own backups, but this is not equivalent to a provider-guaranteed backup service. Unless a separate service expressly changes the arrangement, the hosting terms leave suitable backups and restoration with the customer. An independent backup routine is therefore sensible for stores, business sites and frequently updated installations.

Business Email runs on Titan and is licensed per mailbox with annual payment. Pro includes 10 GB, calendars, web and mobile applications, 50 read receipts and three reusable templates. Prime raises capacity to 50 GB, removes the limits on read receipts and templates, and adds reminders and richer composition tools. Encryption, spam filtering, aliases and mobile access make both tiers more useful than a minimal mailbox intended only for website administration. A 30-day free trial reduces initial commitment, but the subsequent subscription and renewal price still deserve attention before an established mailbox is migrated.

The Website Builder supplies responsive templates and visual drag-and-drop editing, along with desktop, tablet and phone previews, forms, maps, galleries and basic search optimization. Starter permits unlimited pages and up to ten store products. Pro increases the store limit to 25 products, and Business permits unlimited products. Starter and Pro apply a 3% Weebly transaction fee, while Business removes that platform charge. The tool suits a brochure site or modest online shop; a larger merchant should compare the cumulative transaction cost, integration options and long-term portability before building a substantial catalogue.

SSL choices cover standard domain validation, wildcard subdomain protection and extended validation. Essential uses 256-bit encryption, domain validation and a $10,000 warranty. Wildcard covers subdomains and carries warranty terms reaching $10,000, while EV adds more extensive identity checks and raises the warranty to $250,000. Applicable issuer policy now limits certificate validity to 199 days even when the commercial order covers a year. Reliable certificate management and timely reissuance consequently matter more than the older expectation that one certificate file remains valid for the full annual term.

Pricing and currency change with the selected market. English is the main storefront language, while the wider organization has personnel in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, India, France and Germany. The overall package is designed for domains and small-business web presence, not for infrastructure engineering. That focused identity remains consistent across the customer account, knowledge base, status service and commercial range.
