Onehub is a secure cloud-storage, file-sharing, and business collaboration company founded in 2007 by Charles Mount. The business began in Seattle and developed into an international platform used by more than one million people across approximately 150 countries, with billions of files stored through its infrastructure. Onehub became part of SRS Acquiom in 2021, extending the parent company’s transaction-management services with secure document exchange and virtual data-room technology.

Onehub is not a conventional web hosting provider. It does not offer shared hosting, VPS packages, dedicated servers, domain registration, website builders, hosted mailboxes, or server-management services. Its closest hosting-related category is managed cloud storage and online backup, delivered through a proprietary Software-as-a-Service platform.

The core service is secure business file sharing. Customers can upload files and complete directory structures through a browser, arrange information inside separate Workspaces, copy content between projects, search inside documents, and maintain older file versions automatically. Secure FTP access is also available for organizations that need to transfer larger quantities of data through an encrypted TLS connection.

Onehub’s permission system is more advanced than the access controls included with basic consumer cloud drives. Permissions can be applied at account, Workspace, folder, file, or secure-link level. Individual roles determine whether a participant can view, print, download, upload, edit, or administer information. Administrators can inspect a Workspace from another user’s perspective, terminate active sessions, enforce complex passwords, require two-factor authentication, and review detailed activity records.

The Virtual Data Room service is designed for mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, fundraising, audits, legal projects, financial transactions, and other confidential processes. Stealth mode permits several bidders or external groups to use the same data room without seeing one another. Other important functions include automatic folder indexing, personalized document watermarks, mandatory non-disclosure agreements, automatic file expiration, comprehensive audit trails, and exportable file listings.

Onehub can also operate as a branded client portal. Businesses can add their logo, apply corporate colors, customize sign-in pages and notification messages, create Workspace dashboards, embed a login form into another website, and connect a custom domain. White-label mode removes Onehub branding and allows account notifications to use a customer-controlled email alias.

This combination is especially practical for accountants, lawyers, consultants, property companies, financial organizations, healthcare providers, educational institutions, engineering firms, manufacturers, and agencies that regularly exchange private documents with clients or partners.

Collaboration functions include comments, approval tasks, Workspace messages, notifications, activity exports, and browser-based file previews. Integrations with DocuSign, Microsoft Office Online, and Google Drive allow supported documents to be opened, edited, signed, and saved back into the relevant Workspace. A REST API is available for organizations that need to automate Workspace creation, invitations, file transfers, permissions, comments, secure links, and activity tracking.

Mobile access is available through applications for iPhone and iPad, together with a browser interface adapted for smaller screens. The website and administration environment use a modern responsive layout. Services are primarily delivered in English, and published prices use US dollars.
