📄 Editorial Review

OffshoreRacks is an offshore-oriented hosting provider operating under the legal and network identity Offshore Racks S.A. The company dates back to 2006 and has built a substantial international customer base, with more than 18,000 customers and 167,000 hosted websites. Its infrastructure is strongly associated with Panama, where it operates its own autonomous system and IP network.

The service range covers Shared Hosting, Linux VPS, Windows/RDP VPS, Cloud Servers, Domain Registration, Domain Transfers, SSL Certificates, and managed server services. Free website migration is available for hosting customers, while WordPress users have access to features such as migration assistance, staging, application maintenance and one-click application installation.

Shared hosting is based on cPanel and comes in Budget, Starter, Business, Pro, Ultimate and Supreme packages. Storage ranges from 2 GB to 40 GB NVMe, while email accounts, MySQL databases and FTP accounts are unlimited. SSH access, Node.js support, SSL certificates and 10 Gbps DDoS protection are included. Higher plans provide additional resources, dedicated IP options and capacity for considerably more websites. Daily backups are included as well.

Linux VPS hosting uses KVM virtualization. Entry configurations start with 1 vCPU, 1 GB DDR4 RAM and 40 GB RAID-10 storage, while larger packages reach 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and 100 GB storage. VPS accounts include an IPv4 address, 1 Gbps network connectivity, root access and 10 Gbps DDoS protection. Available operating systems include Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, CentOS, Fedora, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Arch Linux and openSUSE.

The Windows/RDP VPS line is intended for users requiring Microsoft environments and remote desktop access. Plans begin with 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 60 GB RAID-10 storage, with larger 4 GB and 8 GB RAM configurations available. Customers receive full administrator access, making the service suitable for Windows applications that require direct control over the operating system.

Cloud Server hosting provides more flexible resource management. Cloud configurations start with 1 vCPU, 1 GB DDR4 RAM and 20 GB RAID-10 storage, together with a 1 Gbps connection and DDoS protection. Root access, SSH and VNC connectivity, backup storage, automation through an API and resource scaling are available. Usage-based cloud billing can be calculated by the minute, which is useful for workloads that do not need a permanently fixed configuration.

A separate Managed Services package adds server administration for customers who prefer not to maintain the operating system themselves. It includes real-time antivirus protection, firewall management, managed backups and disaster recovery, proactive 24/7 monitoring, technical assistance, and software updates and security patches.

Domain services include new registrations, transfers, DNS management, domain locking, WHOIS privacy where supported, and unlimited subdomains. Domains can also be combined with a 5 GB email mailbox. A broad selection of international extensions is available through the customer portal.

SSL certificates are offered separately from the free SSL included with hosting accounts. Options include Comodo PositiveSSL together with DV, OV, EV and Wildcard certificates. Automatic renewal ordering is available before certificate expiration.

Despite the offshore branding, OffshoreRacks operates under normal acceptable-use restrictions. Illegal content, phishing, pirated software, warez, harmful server activity and IRC bots are prohibited, and serious violations can result in account termination.

The service is available in an unusually large number of languages, including English, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian. Hosting prices are primarily displayed in USD.
