Nova.gr is the online business and consumer portal of Nova Telecommunications & Media Single Member S.A., one of Greece’s major telecom and media operators. Nova is part of United Group and serves the Greek market with broadband internet, fixed telephony, mobile services, pay TV, corporate connectivity, data center services, cloud infrastructure and managed security solutions. The company’s operating history is connected to the former Forthnet/Nova and Wind Hellas businesses, with the foundation year generally traced to 1995.

For web hosting customers, the most important detail is that Nova is no longer a classic shared hosting, domain registration and business email provider. From February 1, 2024, Web hosting, Business mail and Domain name services stopped being commercially available from Nova. This is a telecom-integrated infrastructure offer rather than a retail web hosting catalog.

The Dedicated Hosting service targets businesses that want to avoid buying and maintaining their own hardware. Nova leases and hosts the required infrastructure in Greek data centers. The Colocation Hosting service is suitable for companies that need to place primary, backup or disaster recovery infrastructure inside Nova Data Centers, with high-capacity connectivity, controlled physical access and ISO 27001 information-security alignment.

The Virtual Data Center service provides flexible cloud resources such as vCPU, vRAM and vHDD/SSD, which can be reallocated between virtual machines. Cloud Servers are virtual machines hosted on Nova’s cloud infrastructure in a Greek data center, with backup protection, remote management and business continuity features. Cloud DRaaS is based on Veeam Cloud Connect replication, with failover options and encryption in transit and at rest.

Nova also has a strong connectivity layer. Internet Solutions provides leased internet access with guaranteed symmetrical speeds up to 10Gbps, backup circuits, managed equipment, DDoS protection, SLA-backed availability and 24/7 monitoring.
