E-mail Medium provides 20GB of total email storage with unlimited email addresses and aliases on the customer's domain. It increases the shared mailbox capacity while retaining the same mail security and access features as the other email packages.
The standalone email service is intended for customers who want professional mail on their own domain without needing a website. Every package allows unlimited email addresses and aliases, with the total package storage acting as the practical capacity limit. Mail can be accessed through webmail or configured in desktop and mobile clients. NL Hosting supports both IMAP and POP for incoming mail and SMTP for outgoing mail, with encrypted SSL/TLS connections documented for manual configuration. DKIM, DMARC and SPF are included to improve sender authentication and reduce abuse of the domain. Mailbox space is counted against the total package storage, so customers can divide the available capacity across mailboxes as needed rather than being restricted to a fixed quota per mailbox. Telephone support is included with the plans, and the wider support service also provides email and customer-panel ticket contact. NL Hosting states that its own hosted data is kept in Dutch datacenters and that a 7-day backup retention is part of its general service proposition. Customers needing stronger filtering can add SpamExperts Premium Spamfilter. It provides additional protection against spam and phishing, together with configurable allowlists and blocklists.
Microsoft 365 is available through Exchange Online and Business Standard subscriptions. Exchange Online includes a 50 GB mailbox, while Business Standard also includes the desktop Microsoft Office applications. A useful addition is the daily Microsoft 365 mailbox backup service.
