NewSprout is an Australian-owned hosting and internet services provider established in 2005 by Gavin Payne. The company operates from Lennox Head in New South Wales, while its web hosting infrastructure is located in Sydney, Australia. Services are supplied through New Sprout Pty. Ltd., an Australian company registered under ABN 70 144 879 121.

The hosting portfolio covers Linux shared hosting, managed VMware VPS, dedicated servers, domain registration, business email, reseller hosting and several specialized connectivity and mail services. The overall service is particularly well suited to Australian small businesses, professional websites and customers who prefer local support rather than dealing with an international mass-market hosting provider.

The Linux Shared Hosting range starts with the Nano package and continues through Starter, Premium and Super plans. Nano includes 1 GB of storage, 1 GB of monthly traffic, two email accounts and free SSL. It is intended mainly for small HTML websites and does not support WordPress. Starter introduces database and WordPress functionality, while Premium and Super increase storage, bandwidth and mailbox capacity. The Super plan also includes a domain name.

Standard shared hosting accounts include cPanel, phpMyAdmin, webmail, POP3 and IMAP access, spam filtering, autoresponders, FTP access, website statistics and automatically managed SSL certificates. WordPress is supported on every shared plan except Nano. Hosting accounts are backed up four times per day, with restore points normally retained for approximately two weeks. Independent customer backups remain advisable because provider backups are not contractually guaranteed to be complete or permanently available.

The TrueCloud VPS service is a fully managed platform running on a redundant VMware cluster. Available configurations extend from two to twelve virtual processors, 4 GB to 32 GB RAM and storage capacities between 100 GB and 3 TB. Linux, cPanel, system monitoring, operating-system administration, backups and migration assistance are included.

The clustered architecture avoids dependence on a single physical server. When one virtualization host becomes unavailable, workloads can continue across the remaining cluster resources. This makes TrueCloud a practical choice for growing business websites, online applications, agencies and reseller accounts that require more resources than conventional shared hosting.

Dedicated Servers are available with Linux or Windows, RAID-protected storage, hardware monitoring and optional firewall services. Published configurations include between 12 GB and 32 GB RAM together with mirrored 1 TB drives. Some dedicated-server navigation currently leads into the VPS section, while a separate dedicated ordering area remains available within the older part of the company website. Exact hardware availability should therefore be confirmed before purchase.

Email Hosting is included with website storage rather than offered solely as a separate mailbox-only service. Customers can create email accounts using their own domains and access them through POP3, IMAP or webmail. Spam filtering is included.

An Exchange relay and queueing service is also available for organizations operating their own Microsoft Exchange server. Incoming email can remain queued within NewSprout’s infrastructure while the customer’s local mail server is unavailable, reducing the risk of message loss during temporary outages.

Domain Registration starts at A$27.50 per year. Australian domain names require the relevant eligibility information, such as an ABN, ACN, state business registration or qualifying nonprofit registration. Transfers of .com.au domains are free, and hosting can be added separately.

The Reseller Hosting service allows agencies and IT providers to manage separate customer hosting accounts without maintaining their own server infrastructure. Resellers remain responsible for billing their clients, while NewSprout can provide technical website and email support directly to those end users. Each customer can receive individual account access and resource limits, and the reseller pays only for active services. Reseller pricing is prepared individually rather than displayed publicly.

SproutMailer is available for bulk email campaigns and newsletter delivery. This is separate from the standard hosting and mailbox products and remains accessible through an older section of the company website.

The website operates in English, with prices displayed in Australian dollars and including GST. The main design is reasonably current, although several legacy pages remain active and some information differs between older and newer sections.
