📄 Editorial Review

Net Logistics is an Australian hosting company with roots going back to 2004, when Karthick Rajendran and Trung Nguyen established the business. Over the years, it developed into a substantial Australian hosting provider covering shared and cloud hosting, reseller hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, colocation, domain names, SSL certificates, security services and managed hosting, with Sydney serving as the center of its infrastructure.

The ownership structure changed significantly over time. Dreamscape Networks (dreamscapenetworks.com) acquired Net Logistics in 2017 for an announced A$2.55 million cash consideration. The former Net Logistics Pty Ltd legal entity subsequently became Vodien Australia Pty Ltd. Dreamscape Networks was acquired by Web.com (web.com) in 2019, and the business later became part of Newfold Digital (newfold.com) following the combination of Web.com and Endurance International Group's web-presence operations.

Net Logistics now operates within the Vodien Group rather than as an independent hosting provider. New sales and service inquiries are directed into Vodien, while the Net Logistics domain still retains much of the company's historical hosting catalogue and technical information. This makes the brand particularly relevant to long-term Australian hosting customers, but new customers effectively enter the wider Vodien environment.

The traditional Cloud Hosting platform consisted of Linux hosting using cPanel/WHM, KVM virtualization, CloudLinux and CageFS. Packages ranged from the entry-level webValue plan through webUltimate and included storage allocations from 5 GB to 120 GB, unlimited data transfer, MySQL/MariaDB databases, email hosting, DDoS protection, daily backups and Australian hosting.

Customers also received FTP access, file management, cron jobs, PHP support and the usual tools required for CMS and e-commerce applications. Softaculous simplified the installation of popular web applications, while multi-account hosting extended the same environment to developers, designers and resellers managing multiple customer accounts.

Cloud VPS was available in both self-managed and managed configurations. The platform used KVM virtualization to provide isolated server resources, with root access and console access available to VPS customers. Supported operating systems included CentOS, CloudLinux, Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora and FreeBSD, depending on the management configuration.

Managed VPS plans included cPanel, while self-managed VPS customers could add a control-panel license when required. Larger MINI Booster and MEGA Booster configurations increased CPU and memory allocations for applications needing more resources.

The Dedicated Server range covered both self-managed and fully managed hardware. Configurations traditionally used Intel Xeon processors, ECC memory, hardware RAID and SAS or SSD storage. Linux and Windows Server environments were available, making the dedicated range suitable for traditional websites, databases, business applications and more demanding hosted services.

Linux dedicated servers could use cPanel, while Windows environments supported Plesk and Microsoft technologies such as .NET and SQL Server. Server management was also available for customers that preferred Net Logistics to handle administration and maintenance.

Colocation formed another important part of the business. Customers could install their own server hardware in professional Sydney facilities while using redundant power, cooling, physical security and network connectivity. This complemented the company's managed and dedicated hosting portfolio and made Net Logistics suitable for organizations wanting to retain ownership of their physical equipment.

Domain registration, SSL certificates, email security and related hosting services completed the broader portfolio. As the business transitioned into Vodien, these services also moved toward the Vodien sales and account-management environment.

The Net Logistics website retains a distinctly older hosting-industry style and includes technologies associated with previous generations of its platform, including PHP 5, Windows Server 2012 and IBM Flex x240 hardware. English is the primary website language, and Australian dollars are used for the traditional product pricing.
