The company was established in France in 2004 and it has grown to various achievements in the hosting or domain registrar industry. In 2006, Netim managed to get European recognition when the company launched the .eu extension whereas in 2009, they became an ICANN-accredited company ( see https://icannwiki.org/NETIM ). This made them part of the most popular domain registrars on the market.

As a domain registrar, Netim claims that they have over 15 years of experience and they have grown to provide worldwide domain names (946 global extensions) with the mention that they include free services for each domain.

Shared hosting plans are for both individual and organizational purposes. Their plans are based on Linux OS. Shared hosting plans support both static (HTML, Javascript) and dynamic pages (PHP, MySQL) but they do not provide support for JAVA, ASP or Microsoft Windows features (i.e. Frontpage, Sharepoint Designer, Expression Web). The plans available at Netim also come with common features for shared hosting (database, mailbox, SSL support). At the same time, customers can customize the DNS (not always an included specification for web hosting plans).

Email hosting works with permanent antispam and antivirus solutions. Purchasing an email hosting plan also comes with unlimited email, between 5 to 50 mailboxes or between 5000 and 20000 outgoing emails per day. Autoresponder, catchall, custom quota and other features that contribute to the optimization of email management are also included.

Website builder plans are created in such a way that they suit both beginners and experts in building up a website. Purchasing one plan will open the possibility for you to customize your website by using their templates; you can optimize your website and add features from your very own codes through script module.

In terms of SSL certificates, Netim provides a wide range of options (Single domain, Multi-domain or Wildcard) as well as plans with different validation levels (Domain Validation and Extended Validation).

In 2012 the they created a subsidiary Business FranceDNS, a registrar dedicated to French speaking countries’ extensions.
