Net Atlantic is a long-established U.S. Internet services company founded in 1995 by Andrew Lutts in Salem, Massachusetts. The business began during the early commercial Internet era with website creation and hosting, but email gradually became its principal specialty. Over time, Net Atlantic developed into a dedicated Email Service Provider focused on large-scale email delivery, list management, campaign automation and deliverability.

The company remains privately held. Andrew Lutts serves as Founder & Strategic Advisor, while R.J. Phipps is CEO. Phipps has been involved with Net Atlantic for many years across technical support, customer success and product leadership roles, and became a partner and co-owner in 2022. Net Atlantic is no longer centered on conventional shared Linux hosting, Windows hosting, VPS packages or general-purpose dedicated servers. Net Atlantic also offers managed dedicated email marketing servers. These systems are specifically built around ListManager rather than being ordinary web-hosting servers. They are intended for organizations requiring dedicated resources, greater data separation and large sending capacities. Servers can operate at the customer's office or data center while Net Atlantic handles administration remotely, or they can be hosted within Net Atlantic's U.S. infrastructure.

Dedicated configurations support private IP addresses, API and ODBC integration, multiple authenticated domains, extensive reporting and large mailing databases. Server administration, software maintenance, updates, backups and continuous network monitoring are included.

Email Discussion Group Hosting remains available for associations, communities, committees and similar organizations that communicate through email-based discussion lists. Customers receive a web control panel for membership management, delivery preferences, segmentation and message archives.

SmartStart is a specialized onboarding and deliverability service for organizations dealing with declining engagement, poor inbox placement, reputation issues or migrations from another email platform. It can include subscriber engagement analysis, list validation, segmentation, authentication checks, volume ramp-up planning and remediation of delivery problems.

Professional services extend well beyond basic campaign sending. Net Atlantic provides deliverability monitoring, domain and IP warming, blacklist monitoring, ISP remediation, campaign deployment, reporting, database integration, migrations, custom development, training and responsive email-template design. Reseller and partner arrangements are also available for agencies and service providers.
