neoDomaine is a long-established French domain registrar and web services provider based in Montpellier. The company dates back to 2001, giving it approximately 25 years of operating history in 2026. One of its first important milestones came in March 2001, when it became an approved reseller of OpenSRS/Tucows for .com, .net and .org domain registrations. Its range later expanded to French and European extensions such as .fr, .be and .eu, together with DNS, email forwarding, web forwarding and lightweight hosting services.

The legal entity is NEODOMAINE.COM SARL, a French limited-liability company with variable capital. The company was established on March 12, 2001. Nicolas Bottagisio was an early manager and remained associated with the management of the business during the 2000s, while Sébastien Prat has been the registered manager since July 2011.

The service is primarily centered on domain registration and domain management rather than conventional shared hosting, VPS or dedicated servers. Customers can register .com, .net, .org, .fr, .be, .info, .mobi, .biz and .eu domains, transfer existing domain names, renew registrations and manage DNS and contact information through the proprietary neoGestion interface.

Every registered or transferred domain includes a useful set of complementary services. These include web forwarding, email forwarding with anti-spam and anti-virus filtering, a customizable parking page, SSL support, renewal notifications and a small web hosting account. This makes it possible to use neoDomaine purely as a registrar or to combine the domain with forwarding, email routing and basic website hosting.

The included free web hosting account provides 200 MB of storage, FTP access, PHP support and unlimited web traffic. HTTPS is included through Let's Encrypt certificates. This service is designed for small personal websites and simple HTML/PHP projects rather than resource-intensive applications.

The free hosting environment is deliberately limited. MySQL databases are not included under the current hosting conditions, and the service is not suitable for a typical database-driven commercial website. WordPress is also not recommended in this environment because of the security configuration and resource limitations. The hosting conditions do not include a contractual service-level guarantee, making this better suited to lightweight personal use than business-critical hosting.

Email services are mainly based on email forwarding rather than full hosted mailboxes. Customers can create addresses using their own domain and redirect incoming messages to existing external mailboxes, while spam and virus filtering is applied before delivery. The standard package supports up to 10 configurable forwarding addresses. Additional forwarding capacity can be obtained through the extended mail service.

DNS management extends beyond simple nameserver changes. The optional extended DNS service uses redundant authoritative DNS servers and allows customers to configure A, CNAME, MX and TXT records. The management interface supports up to 25 A records, 10 CNAME records, three MX records and two TXT entries. It is intentionally simpler than a specialized enterprise DNS platform but provides enough flexibility for typical domain, web and mail configurations.

neoDomaine also continues to operate its goMobi service, an older mobile-site creation and hosting platform. It can create a dedicated mobile version of a website and redirect smartphone visitors to that version. The system predates modern responsive web design but remains useful for customers maintaining legacy websites that still require a separate mobile presentation. Management is performed through a graphical interface for mobile menus, buttons and content.

Another specialized service is the Automatic Repurchase Option for domains already registered by somebody else. neoDomaine monitors the selected domain for up to 365 days and repeatedly attempts to register it if it becomes available. This works as a lightweight backorder service rather than a domain auction system.

Account security includes encrypted access, Registrar Lock, renewal reminders by email and SMS, Google Safe Browsing monitoring and anti-spam/anti-virus filtering. A significant security improvement arrived on August 27, 2026, when two-factor authentication became available for neoGestion accounts using standard authenticator applications such as FreeOTP and Google Authenticator.

neoDomaine historically offered more substantial hosting services. A Cloud hosting platform launched in 2011 with 20 GB of disk space, 256 MB RAM, 2.5 Mbps bandwidth, CentOS or Debian and Virtualmin management. That product is now part of the company's legacy history rather than its current core offering.

Other older services have included WordPress hosting, MySQL extensions and additional hosting options. The present business is considerably more focused on domains, DNS, redirects, email forwarding and the small hosting account bundled with domain registrations.

The website has a distinctly traditional design that reflects the company's long operating history. Navigation remains functional, but several areas retain older terminology and presentation conventions from earlier generations of hosting websites. The interface is primarily French, and no complete English-language version exists. Prices are presented in EUR, generally excluding VAT.
