NAYANA is one of South Korea's long-established web hosting brands, with operations dating back to 2001. The business started as Internet Nayana and developed into a broad Korean Internet-services provider covering traditional hosting, server infrastructure, domains and business communication services. Current operations are handled by VIAWEB Inc. (주)비아웹) under CEO Park Oh-chan, with the company headquartered in Seoul.

The service catalog is considerably broader than basic shared hosting. NAYANA offers AI Hosting, Linux Shared Hosting, Fully Managed Hosting, WordPress Hosting, server hosting, colocation, business email, SMS, image hosting, SSL certificates, domain registration and cloud services. This makes the company suitable for customers who prefer to keep several Internet services under one Korean provider rather than combining separate hosting, domain and communication suppliers.

NAYANA AI Hosting represents the most modern part of the hosting range. The entry package includes 300 MB of web space, 300 MB of traffic, a 100 MB database, one connected domain and hosting administration, with a six-month free-use period. Larger Standard and Premium configurations are also part of the product structure.

The AI Hosting platform uses Rocky Linux 8, Apache 2.4.x, PHP 8.1 and MariaDB 10.3.x. PHP-FPM, HTTP/2, Gzip, OPcache, SNI and OCSP stapling are supported, while web-application protection includes ModSecurity 2 with the OWASP Core Rule Set. AI functionality is integrated with the My NAYANA hosting environment and customers use their own supported AI API credentials. Database backups are made daily and retained for three days, while the platform combines local, network and CDP-style backup methods with IPS protection.

Fully Managed Hosting is aimed at users who want NAYANA to take responsibility for much of the server-side administration. Plans range from approximately 1 GB to 20 GB of storage and include SSD storage, SSL support, HTTP/2, Gzip and hosting-management functions. This service is a practical option for small and medium Korean businesses that need conventional managed hosting without maintaining their own VPS or dedicated server environment.

Linux Shared Hosting remains one of NAYANA's lowest-cost services. Packages start with very small accounts and extend through larger Special configurations. FTP, FTPS, SSH and SFTP access are available where supported, together with MySQL or MariaDB databases, backups, IPS protection and common Apache functions such as mod_rewrite. SSH and SFTP use port 1661, while FTP and FTPS use port 7774.

Some long-running Linux hosting packages still use older software environments, including CentOS 6, PHP 5.6 or PHP 7.0 and MariaDB 5.5. These versions are obsolete for new Internet-facing applications, so customers deploying modern PHP applications should select a newer environment or confirm the exact platform attached to the chosen account. The Rocky Linux and PHP 8.1 environment used for AI Hosting is considerably more appropriate for new projects.

WordPress Hosting is available in Small, Basic, Soho, Business, Premium and Special configurations. The smallest package provides 500 MB of storage and 500 MB of traffic, while larger plans increase storage, bandwidth and domain capacity. FTP and SSH access, database service, security filtering and backups are included. Some WordPress packages also retain legacy PHP and CentOS specifications, making the actual runtime version an important consideration before deploying a new WordPress installation.

Domain Free Hosting provides a compact hosting account when an eligible domain is registered through NAYANA. The package includes 400 MB of storage, 600 MB of traffic and a 70 MB database, making it suitable mainly for lightweight websites. An older PHP 5 free-hosting service is no longer open to new registrations, although existing customers can continue according to its renewal conditions.

Modoo Archive Hosting serves customers who previously operated websites through Naver's discontinued Modoo service. It provides an environment for preserving and restoring compatible sites rather than acting as a complete recreation of every former Modoo function. The platform uses Rocky Linux 8, Apache 2.4, PHP 7.4 and MariaDB 10.1, with terms available from one month through two years.

Business communication is another significant part of NAYANA's portfolio. Webmail Hosting starts with a ten-user package and expands to configurations supporting as many as 500 mail accounts. Mail storage ranges from 10 GB on the entry package to 500 GB on the largest option. Administration functions, spam and virus filtering, web-disk capacity and centralized mailbox management are included.

The VIATOK SMS platform operates on prepaid messaging credit. Standard SMS, LMS and MMS delivery are available, together with API integration for applications and websites. PHP and other server-side environments can connect to the service, while larger-volume messaging and Kakao-related communication options broaden its business use.

Image Hosting is designed primarily for online shops and businesses that need reliable external delivery of product images. A free configuration provides 1 GB of storage and up to 1 GB of daily traffic, while paid packages increase daily transfer capacity substantially. SSL is supported for delivery through the service environment.

NAYANA also remains active in domain registration and management. The domain platform handles new registrations, transfers, renewals, nameserver management, Web DNS, WHOIS and RDAP lookup, forwarding, parking, registration certificates and related administration. Korean country-code domains and common international extensions are both supported.

Dedicated infrastructure is supplied through NAYANA's KOREAIDC operation. Available services include Linux and Windows server hosting, colocation, managed server services, backup solutions, security configurations and DDoS-related infrastructure. These products are generally configured according to customer requirements rather than limited to a small fixed catalog.

Cloud services now center on VIAWEB's role as a cloud partner. Customers can obtain solutions involving Naver Cloud, KT Cloud and AWS. An older NAYANA cloud-hosting configuration remains associated with CentOS 5.6, two CPU cores, 2 GB RAM and a 50 GB SATA disk, so that legacy product should not be confused with the company's current partner-based cloud services.

SSL certificates are available from Sectigo and GlobalSign, including standard domain-validated certificates, wildcard SSL, EV certificates and multi-domain products. NAYANA also provides CSR and installation assistance for Linux and Windows environments, while installation of certificates purchased elsewhere can be ordered separately.

Website-production and maintenance assistance is available through development partners rather than as a fully internal NAYANA web-design department. This can still be convenient for customers who need hosting and a development contact together, although the actual production work is handled by the relevant partner.

The service is strongly focused on the South Korean market. The website and account environment are primarily Korean-language, and no complete multi-language/localized version exists. Product pricing is primarily in South Korean won (KRW). The interface combines modern services with a substantial amount of older hosting documentation and legacy products, so the technical generation of a plan matters more here than with providers that have migrated every account family to one common software stack.

NAYANA's history also includes the 2017 Erebus ransomware incident, when 153 Linux servers were encrypted and more than 3,400 customer websites were affected. The company negotiated the ransom demand to 397.6 BTC, worth close to US$1 million at the time, and proceeded with payment while recovering affected servers. It became one of the most notable ransomware incidents involving a hosting provider during that period. Current hosting environments use substantially stronger backup and security measures, including IPS protection, ModSecurity and multiple backup layers on relevant services.
