*📜 Plan description

1/8 Rack Basic provides five rack units in a 600 mm-wide, lockable 19-inch rack segment for start-ups, small businesses, or a compact backup site. Two 5-amp power connections provide power redundancy, and the network interface is 1 Gbit/s. Traffic is metered at EUR 0.09 per GB rather than bundled as a flat rate, matching workloads whose electricity and data use may grow gradually. The rack can be extended as requirements increase. The power and Internet connections are supplied with the rack, while consumption-dependent components are billed separately under the Basic model. The rack is accessible 24 hours a day and is positioned as the smallest colocation footprint in the range.

The service is housed in myLoc's carrier-neutral data centers in Düsseldorf, Germany. The campus infrastructure includes redundant power, UPS and emergency generating systems, redundant air conditioning, continuous video surveillance, on-site security, and round-the-clock access with a personal access key. Connectivity reaches the 3,570 Gbit/s myLoc backbone, and IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are included according to RIPE guidelines; a fully redundant network design can be added for an extra charge. The product carries a 99.9 percent network-availability guarantee. The base rental is quoted individually, so the plan price remains on request and the traffic field reflects whether usage billing or an unmetered flat-rate model applies. German consumer offers include 19 percent VAT, VAT is adjusted for private customers elsewhere in the EU, and non-EU customers are billed net. Verified payment methods include credit card, PayPal, bank transfer, and Skrill. Email and helpdesk assistance are available around the clock, with phone service on weekday business hours and live chat on the current site.

📄 Editorial Review

myLoc managed IT is a German infrastructure provider whose data-center operations in Düsseldorf date to 1999. The business took its combined form in 2009, when the colocation operations of myLoc managed Infrastructure AG merged with the hosting business of fast IT GmbH. On April 1, 2024, the company was renamed WIIT AG and became part of Italian cloud group WIIT S.p.A.. The operating sites at Am Gatherhof and In der Steele remain active, preserving the local German infrastructure base within a wider European cloud organization.

The operation has more than 100 employees, seven company-operated carrier-neutral data centers certified to ISO 27001, more than 3,500 m² of developed data-center space, and over 300 colocation customers. Its Düsseldorf infrastructure includes the world's largest Lampertz LSR18.6 security cell, a hardened environment appropriate for banking, insurance, ISP, and other security-sensitive systems. German and English service interfaces are available. EU pricing is adjusted for the customer's country-specific VAT, while customers outside the EU receive net pricing.

The portfolio covers colocation, rack and cage services, dedicated and virtual servers, managed hosting, private cloud, public cloud, cloud backup, cloud storage, and cyber-security services. Colocation ranges from one-eighth-rack positions to full 46-unit racks, six-rack modules, dedicated cages, and multi-site designs. Rack configurations can include redundant power, 1,000 Mbps flat traffic, and availability of up to 99.95%. Customers receive 24/7 physical access together with cross-connects, redundant inter-building fiber, video surveillance, professional security, monitored power and climate systems, and on-site technical options.

Managed hosting is built around dedicated servers and individually engineered server farms rather than standardized low-cost packages. myLoc can take responsibility for hardware and operating-system deployment, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, patching, administration, firewalls, load balancers, intrusion detection, backups, spam and malware controls, and DDoS protection. Managed operations run continuously, with a four-hour hardware-replacement target for relevant service components. Root-server and virtual-server products remain available for customers requiring direct control, while the managed model suits e-commerce, gaming, advertising, and other workloads that benefit from a dedicated technical contact and a documented operating process.

Managed environments can combine dedicated web, application, and database servers with hardware RAID, daily backups, dedicated VLANs, redundant firewalls, load balancers, IDS, 24/7 monitoring, KVM or rescue access, and remote reboot. Components may be ordered individually or assembled into clusters and high-availability server farms. Migration assistance is available for customers moving complex production systems, and the service team can continue with patching, security, capacity monitoring, and operational administration after deployment.

Private-cloud solutions place customer workloads in myLoc or wider WIIT infrastructure across Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. The platform combines Proxmox virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, a virtual-machine management interface, and the WIIT Cloud Native Platform. Managed hardware, updates, patches, and migration support can be included. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud adds backup, malware defense, ransomware prevention, patch management, and disaster recovery hosted in German data centers. This is an infrastructure-partner model for controlled business environments rather than a conventional shared-hosting service.

The broader WIIT group extends the German footprint through several acquisitions and integrations. WIIT S.p.A. has traded on the Borsa Italiana STAR segment since 2019. In 2021, WIIT acquired 100% of MIVITEC GmbH through myLoc; MIVITEC has operated since 2003 and runs three data centers in Munich. Boreus, GECKO, Lansol, and Global Access also form part of the German group network. Boreus operates its own facility in Stralsund, while Lansol operates two facilities in Limburger Hof. Together, these companies add hybrid cloud, software, outsourcing, and cloud-migration expertise without replacing myLoc's Düsseldorf base.
