📄 Editorial Review

Mochahost is one of those hosting brands that tries to cover almost the whole spectrum instead of staying in a single niche. They have been in business since 2002, and the company now sits under World Host Group US Inc, with the company also noting an internal registrar relationship with WHG Hosting Services Ltd. The storefront is essentially English-only, but it is clearly built for an international audience because the site exposes multiple currencies, including USD, CAD, INR, GBP, and EUR.

The catalog is broad enough to serve both first-time site owners and more technical customers. On the entry and mid-range side, they sell shared web hosting, cPanel hosting, Windows hosting, managed WordPress hosting, reseller hosting, domain registration, SSL certificates, Java Tomcat hosting, website builder tools, and SpamExperts email filtering. On the heavier infrastructure side, they also offer managed Linux servers, managed Windows VPS-style server plans, Linux servers, and Windows servers. That mix makes them look less like a narrow shared-hosting company and more like a provider trying to keep customers as they grow from simple websites into agency, reseller, or server-grade workloads.

Their shared and cPanel side is especially feature-rich. The Linux/cPanel stack includes CloudLinux, JetBackup, Softaculous with 300+ applications, unlimited SSL coverage for domains and subdomains, free migrations, annual-plan free domains, and NVMe-backed infrastructure in nine global locations. The Windows side is not just a token offer either. It is built around Plesk, supports ASP.NET, MSSQL, Microsoft Access, IIS 10, modern .NET Core versions, Git on higher plans, secure FTP, web deploy tools, and even a free website builder on some plans. For buyers who specifically need Microsoft compatibility, that gives Mochahost more depth than many mainstream budget hosts.

The more advanced product lines are also substantial. The reseller plans run on WHM & cPanel, include AnyCast DNS, custom nameservers, Imunify360, white-label options, public cloud IP handling, and daily backups. The managed Linux server line adds fully managed administration, unlimited cPanel accounts, unlimited websites, unlimited database size, SSH access, 1Gbit+ networking, self-restorable backups, optional LiteSpeed, and white-label deployment. The managed Windows server line combines a Plesk environment with dedicated resources, FTP access, unlimited emails, unlimited websites, and a 99.95% uptime promise. Unmanaged Linux and Windows servers are there for customers who want more direct control.

Mochahost also has a few useful side products that make the platform feel more complete. The Java Tomcat hosting includes a web-based Tomcat manager, unlimited JSP and non-JSP sites, unlimited monthly traffic, unlimited SSD space, unlimited inboxes, and cross-platform support. The domain side includes free WHOIS privacy, domain locking, two-factor authentication, instant registration, and a dashboard with notifications. Their website builder uses a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG editor, 500+ templates, mobile-ready themes, forms, e-commerce payments, and monitoring tools. SpamExperts adds quarantine, delivery queueing, protection reports, whitelist/blacklist control, and a very low false-positive claim. They also mention custom web design and e-commerce development services, which gives them a light agency angle as well.

😠 They mangled my domain name as their first step and wanted me to go through a various steps to fix it. I cancelled immediately and asked for a refund. They then keep arguing it is my fault when the first email from them had the correct information before their system (probably with code completion) mangled the letters, dropping one to: espress.com

😠 You better look other option, stay away from Mochahost
Mochahost was a very good option some years ago. Nowadays, they are not the same. Their service is bad, and they do not do what they promise. For instance, I had a problem with my site, they told me that within one hour my problem would be solved...well, after 18 hours and my site was still down...That is not Good service. Sorry Mochahost, you were a good company some years before, in my opinion, good enough that I recommended your company to other friends...But Nowadays, what happened with you Mochahost? you have became a terrible hosting company. To be honest, there are better options out there, Mochahost did not keep their service level...and as result of this...I will leave Mochahost as soon as I can. My advise to anyone looking for hosting services: Look elsewhere, do not hire Mochahost as your hosting company...otherwise: you will regret you bought Mochahost services.
