*📜 Plan description
Private Cage starts at USD 4999 per month and provides a fenced, locked footprint with a customer-controlled badge list. The cage is sized to the required rack count and is commonly used for regulated workloads, multi-tenant operations, or environments where physical separation from other customers is mandatory. Rack layout, power distribution, network entry, carrier cross-connects, cameras or access requirements, and Smart Hands scope are engineered for the project. The cage combines dedicated physical boundaries with the same facility power, cooling, network, and round-the-clock operations used by smaller colocation footprints.
Every colocation footprint is available in two Tier III+ facilities at 600 and 319 Executive Drive in Troy, Michigan. The facilities are SOC 2 Type II audited and PCI-compliant, with concurrently maintainable power and cooling, UPS and diesel generation, and N+1 cooling at minimum. Dual A/B power feeds from independent distribution are available where the build requires them. Cross-connects can reach ManagedWay fiber or another carrier, and the operator controls the Meet-Me Room so routine patches can often be completed without waiting for a third-party datacenter team. Network options range from a switch port to direct BGP with AS 53292, including transit, IP space, peering, private waves, dedicated fiber, and optional DDoS mitigation. The facility is staffed around the clock by a 24x7 NOC and on-site technicians. Portal access uses two-factor authentication, fail2ban protection, and per-account audit logging, while the physical environment includes sensors, badge controls, and camera coverage. Standard Smart Hands covers reboots, console attachment, drive or optic swaps using customer spares, visual inspection, photographs, link-light checks, and basic patching. Smart Hands Elite can cover receiving, racking, structured cabling, configuration assistance, cross-connect work, decommissioning, and secure media destruction. Authorized staff receive 24x7 badged access. Colocation carries a 100% monthly uptime commitment at the facility handoff controlled by ManagedWay, with proportional credits for qualifying unplanned downtime. Support is available through toll-free phone, dashboard ticket, and email. Prices are monthly starting amounts, taxes and pass-through charges are additional, and payments are non-refundable.

📄 Editorial Review
ManagedWay is a privately held Michigan infrastructure provider with technical roots reaching back to 2001 and commercial operations under the ManagedWay name since 2005. Founder Rob Sanders remains associated with the business, which has developed from a regional hosting operation into a broader provider of cloud infrastructure, managed hosting, bare-metal servers, colocation, backup services, and enterprise connectivity. The company expanded considerably in May 2015 through the acquisition of Waveform Technology. The transaction included Waveform’s data-center operations, customers, employees, and metro-fiber assets, adding the facility at 319 Executive Drive and strengthening ManagedWay’s network presence across Southeast Michigan. ManagedWay now owns and operates two data centers in Troy, Michigan.
Its cloud infrastructure combines AMD EPYC processors, all-NVMe Ceph storage with triple replication, and a high-capacity internal network reaching 400 Gbps. Virtual Servers support Linux and Windows deployments, adjustable resources, custom images, and migrations from VMware, Hyper-V, VMDK, qcow2, OVA, and raw-disk environments.
Virtual Data Centers provide reserved pools of processing power, memory, and storage from which customers can create and manage multiple virtual machines. Private Cloud environments add dedicated compute, storage, and networking resources for organizations requiring greater isolation, predictable capacity, or customized architecture.
Bare Metal Servers use dedicated AMD EPYC hardware, local NVMe storage, optional Ceph storage, root access, and out-of-band management. Custom configurations can include GPUs, specialist expansion cards, additional storage, or other application-specific hardware.
Managed Backups cover both ManagedWay cloud systems and external infrastructure. Cloud workloads can use Ceph snapshots, while other servers can be protected through BackupPC or rsync over SSH. Replication between the two Troy facilities is available for disaster-recovery arrangements, and broader replication requirements can be incorporated into a custom agreement.
Website Hosting includes shared hosting, reseller hosting, and fully managed environments. These services accommodate WordPress, WooCommerce, Joomla, Drupal, databases, email, and DNS, with migration assistance available for websites, databases, mailboxes, and domain records. This makes the hosting service particularly useful for agencies, developers, and businesses that prefer direct technical assistance rather than a completely self-managed account.
ManagedWay also supports customized Proxmox clusters, application platforms, backup systems, private email infrastructure, collaboration software, Linux environments, and hybrid-cloud deployments. Migration projects can include image conversion, parallel testing, scheduled cutovers, network changes, and direct engineering support.
Colocation ranges from a single 1U server to quarter racks, half racks, full cabinets, private cages, and dedicated suites. High-density installations can exceed 30 kW per rack when the power and cooling design supports the requirement. Standard Smart Hands covers routine physical work such as equipment inspections, reboots, cable changes, drive replacement, optic replacement, and equipment photography. Smart Hands Elite extends this service to installation, structured cabling, configuration work, equipment receiving, decommissioning, and secure media destruction.
Connectivity services include fiber Internet from 100 Mbps to 100 Gbps, wholesale IP transit, point-to-point Ethernet, EPL, EVPL, VPLS, EVP-LAN, dedicated wavelengths, DWDM, dark fiber, fixed wireless, and LTE failover. IPv4 and IPv6 are supported alongside full, partial, or default BGP routing, BFD, MD5 authentication, routing communities, IRR filtering, and remote-triggered blackholing.
ManagedWay is best suited to organizations that want cloud infrastructure, physical colocation, managed technical services, and network connectivity from the same engineering team. The company operates primarily in English, and publicly listed prices use US dollars.
