LaoHost.pl is a Polish web-hosting provider operated by LAO.PL Piotr Kujawski in Warsaw. The underlying business was registered on May 18, 2007, while the LaoHost hosting project has operated since 2009. Piotr Kujawski has been associated with the design, creation and ongoing operation of LaoHost.pl since its launch, giving the service a considerably longer history than many smaller independent Polish hosting brands.

The current portfolio concentrates on Linux shared hosting, domain registration and SSL certificates. LaoHost previously offered KVM cloud VPS and reseller hosting, but the VPS service was withdrawn on November 19, 2024, while reseller hosting is no longer available. The present service is therefore best suited to websites, email, WordPress and conventional PHP/MySQL applications rather than customers looking for VPS or dedicated infrastructure.

Shared hosting is available through Start, Plus and Pro packages. Start includes 2 GB of storage and 20 GB of monthly traffic, Plus increases storage to 4 GB with unlimited traffic, and Pro provides 6 GB with unlimited traffic. An individual hosting configurator is also available for customers who want a different allocation of resources. Disk allowances are relatively modest, but the hosting accounts include unlimited domains, subdomains, FTP accounts, MySQL databases and email mailboxes within the overall account limits. Outgoing email is subject to a daily limit of 1,000 messages.

The technical environment is one of the stronger aspects of LaoHost. Current PHP versions include PHP 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5, while older PHP releases can still be enabled where compatibility with legacy applications requires them. SSH and SFTP access are included, together with useful development tools such as Git, SVN, rsync, SCP, Composer, wget, archive utilities and command-line MySQL tools. Cron jobs, mod_rewrite, custom document roots, access logs, AwStats and phpMyAdmin are also available. MySQL includes InnoDB support and allows multiple database users.

Security features include ModSecurity, antivirus scanning, configurable country blocking, two-factor authentication for the hosting panel and SSL/SNI support. Integration with CloudFlare is available, while free Let’s Encrypt certificates can be installed for hosted domains. Incremental backups are kept separately from production accounts, and customers can restore files, databases and email themselves. Backup history normally provides at least several days of recovery points, with retention extending further for some backup sets.

WordPress can be installed and managed from the hosting environment. LaoHost expanded its WordPress management integration with DirectAdmin during 2026, making routine WordPress administration more convenient without requiring manual installation. The hosting accounts do not place advertising on customer websites, and customers can use their own registered domains.

Domain registration covers Polish and international extensions including .pl, .eu, .com, .net, .org, .biz and .info. Domain transfers are supported, with .pl transfers available without a transfer charge under normal conditions. Transfers of many international extensions normally include an additional year of registration.

Commercial SSL certificates are available from GoGetSSL and Sectigo. These are useful when a customer specifically requires a commercial domain-validated certificate, although ordinary hosted websites can use free Let’s Encrypt SSL instead.

LaoHost also supports GDPR-related hosting requirements. Customers processing personal information can conclude a data-processing agreement for qualifying shared-hosting accounts with an annual service value of at least 119 PLN. Standard shared hosting is not intended for special-category personal data governed by Articles 9 and 10 of the GDPR.

The service is primarily aimed at the Polish market. The website, account information and documentation are principally in Polish, and no complete multi-language/localized version exists. Hosting and domain prices are shown in PLN.
