📄 Editorial Review

Kriweb is one of the long-established names in the Turkish hosting market, with operations dating back to 1996. The company developed from an early domain and web-hosting provider into a broader infrastructure business serving individual users, developers and companies. An important change came in 2017, when Kriweb was acquired by Dorabase (dorabase.com), followed by full operational integration with Dorabase in 2021. By 2019, the operation had already exceeded 30,000 hosted websites. The legal entity behind Kriweb today is Dorabase Veri Merkezi Hizmetleri A.Ş.

Its portfolio covers domain registration, Linux hosting, Windows hosting, managed WordPress hosting, corporate hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, Cloud DNS, corporate email, Google Workspace, SSL certificates and an AI-assisted website builder. Kriweb is also authorized for .TR domain registrations, while international domain services can involve ICANN-accredited registrar infrastructure such as Tucows.

The service is strongly oriented toward customers in Turkey. Pricing is mainly in Turkish lira, infrastructure is based in Turkey, and customer assistance is primarily in Turkish. No complete multi-language/localized version exists.

Linux Hosting is intended for PHP and MySQL-based websites and uses cPanel. Packages include SSD/NVMe storage, unlimited traffic, free SSL certificates, daily backups and free website migration. PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, Python and Node.js are available, together with applications such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento and OpenCart. Higher plans increase storage and the number of websites that can be hosted.

Windows Hosting uses Plesk and is designed for Microsoft-oriented applications. Support includes ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, .NET 8, MSSQL Server 2019 and IIS. SSD storage, unlimited traffic, free SSL and daily backups are included, making these packages suitable for businesses using Microsoft development stacks.

Managed WordPress Hosting combines WordPress installation and management with additional security and optimization features. Daily backups, malware scanning, a web application firewall and CDN are included, while higher packages add DDoS protection, staging, smart plugin management, code optimization and WooCommerce support.

Corporate Hosting provides a more security-focused shared hosting environment with cPanel, SSD/NVMe storage, unlimited traffic, free SSL, daily backups and migration assistance. Additional protection includes advanced firewalling, DDoS mitigation, malware scanning, dedicated IP options and priority support. It is a useful choice for companies that need more protection and assistance than ordinary shared hosting without moving to a self-managed server.

VPS Hosting begins with configurations around 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 40 GB SSD and scales through larger 2 vCPU/4 GB and 4 vCPU/8 GB plans with up to 160 GB SSD storage. Unlimited traffic, daily backups, Turkey-based infrastructure and a 99.9% uptime guarantee are included. Migration assistance and 24/7 technical support are available for installation, troubleshooting and optimization.

Dedicated Server solutions are available for workloads that require exclusive physical resources. Customers can choose configurations using SSD, NVMe or HDD storage together with RAID options, IP KVM access, DDoS protection and managed or unmanaged administration. These servers are handled more as customized infrastructure solutions rather than as a simple fixed-price shared-hosting product.

Cloud DNS uses Anycast DNS and supports DNSSEC along with A, AAAA, CNAME, MX and TXT records. Load balancing, failover and API-based automation are also available, making the service suitable for businesses that need DNS resilience independently from their web-hosting package.

Email services include Kriweb's own Corporate Email platform as well as Google Workspace. Corporate Email supports IMAP, POP3 and SMTP, spam filtering and locally hosted data suitable for Turkish KVKK requirements. Availability for the email platform reaches 99.99%. Google Workspace adds Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar and collaborative applications under the customer's own domain.

Kriweb also provides Sectigo SSL certificates, including Positive SSL and Wildcard SSL. Wildcard certificates cover unlimited subdomains, while regular hosting packages already include basic SSL certificates. The AI-assisted website builder adds another option for users who do not want to develop a website manually, with responsive templates, automated site creation, e-commerce capabilities, SSL, domain options and daily backup.
