JustHost was a U.S.-based web hosting brand founded in 2008 by Chris Phillips. For many years, it served the mass-market hosting segment with simple website hosting packages, beginner-friendly tools, and upgrade paths for customers who needed more server control. The company later became part of the wider Endurance International Group / Newfold Digital hosting portfolio and, eventually, stopped operating as an independent brand. As of 2026, JustHost was inactive as a standalone provider and redirected customers toward Bluehost.The company focused mainly on Shared Web Hosting, VPS, and Dedicated Servers. Its shared hosting offer was aimed at individuals, bloggers, small businesses, and users who wanted to publish a website without dealing with complex server administration. The accounts included familiar starter features such as a free domain name, email addresses, disk space, website builder tools, marketing tools, and one-click WordPress installation.
A strong part of the old JustHost.com package was the number of bundled extras. Customers had access to drag-and-drop website building, template libraries, blog tools, webmaster tools, eCommerce functions, analytics software, SEO tools, tutorials, and online help. The company also promoted marketing-related extras such as advertising credits and site-building tools, which made the service attractive for customers starting a new website on a limited budget.
The VPS plans were the next step above shared hosting and included cloud-based server technology, root access, instant provisioning, and site management options. These plans were designed for users who needed stronger isolation, more predictable resources, and administrative flexibility. JustHost’s later years were shaped more by consolidation than by independent brand development. Several legacy hosting brands from the same corporate family were redirected, merged, or retired over time, and JustHost followed that same pattern. The result was a brand that remained recognizable historically, but no longer functioned as a separate hosting company.
