JodoHost is a long-established US web hosting provider that started in December 2002 and today operates under APYL (apyl.com). The broader APYL business dates back to 1995, while APYL Inc., the current Florida corporation, was formally registered in 2006. Atul Kumar is the founder associated with JodoHost and APYL and remains President of APYL Inc. Operations have historically combined US infrastructure with technical and support personnel in the United States and India.

JodoHost has evolved considerably from the H-Sphere and Plesk hosting environment that characterized much of its earlier history. Newer services are centered around OPSPI (opspi.com), a distributed hosting automation platform where web hosting, databases, email and DNS can function as separate services rather than relying entirely on one server. DNS infrastructure is geographically separated between Texas and New York, while individual hosting components can be scaled independently.

The product range includes Windows Hosting, Linux Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Managed VPS, Managed Dedicated Servers, domain registration, SSL certificates and business email. JodoHost also has a long history with application hosting, website builders, semi-dedicated servers, VPS and dedicated servers. Some of these older services continue under legacy H-Sphere and Plesk environments, while the newer catalog is focused primarily on OPSPI and managed infrastructure.

Windows Hosting remains one of JodoHost's strongest areas. Current hosting supports Windows Server 2022, IIS 10, .NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET Core, Classic ASP, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, FTP, FTPS and SFTP. Hosting accounts include free Let's Encrypt SSL, while email functionality covers webmail, IMAP, POP3, SMTP, spam and virus filtering, forwarding, aliases, SPF, DKIM and DMARC. This is particularly useful for businesses that still depend on Microsoft technologies rather than a Linux-only hosting stack.

Linux Hosting starts with PHP 8.x, MySQL, WordPress support, SSL and the OPSPI control environment. Legacy Linux hosting also remains available for established customers using H-Sphere or Plesk, including Postfix and Roundcube email, PHP, MySQL, Perl, application installers and website-building functions.

Reseller Hosting is built around OPSPI and provides white-label hosting, private nameservers, individual customer accounts, custom hosting plans and pricing, Windows and Linux hosting, email services and billing capabilities. Payment integrations can include Stripe, PayPal and Authorize.Net, allowing a reseller to handle hosting accounts and customer billing from the same environment. Higher reseller packages add additional resources, migration assistance and priority support.

The newer Managed VPS service is aimed at business applications rather than entry-level unmanaged VPS usage. Customers can choose Ubuntu or Windows Server and retain root or Administrator access while JodoHost handles operating-system deployment, security hardening, software updates, monitoring, backups and migration assistance. Typical workloads include Docker, Node.js, Python, .NET, WordPress, PostgreSQL, databases and other business applications.

Managed Dedicated Servers follow the same managed approach, using Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC hardware, ECC memory, SSD or NVMe storage, RAID options, redundant networking and redundant power. Security maintenance and monitoring are included, while JodoHost can also assist with workloads running on AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud in addition to private infrastructure.

Domain registration is available for major extensions including .COM, .NET and .ORG, together with DNS management and domain privacy options. Let's Encrypt SSL certificates are included with current hosting plans and renew automatically, while premium and wildcard certificates are available separately.

JodoHost currently maintains two generations of hosting technology. The OPSPI platform and managed server products represent the newer service direction, while H-Sphere, Plesk, older Windows and Linux VPS plans, semi-dedicated hosting and previous dedicated-server configurations remain relevant mainly to long-term customers. New customers are better served by the current Windows, Linux, reseller and managed infrastructure catalog.
