📄 Editorial Review

iRegister.AL is an Albanian domain-registration, web-hosting and infrastructure provider operated by Keminet Shpk from Tirana. Keminet was established on May 15, 2007, giving the business almost two decades of operating history in the Albanian Internet market. Ilir Butka and Erjon Zaloshnja were associated with the original company formation, while Ilir Kurti has served as administrator since 2015.

iRegister became an accredited .AL domain registrar in 2013, under accreditation no. 3 dated August 23, 2013. The company manages thousands of Albanian domains and also took over the domain-management activity of dot.al, migrating those customers to the iRegister platform.

The service portfolio covers Domain Registration, Shared Hosting, VPS, Dedicated Servers, SSL Certificates, Business Email, Google collaboration services and Web Development. Keminet's broader infrastructure activity also includes colocation and IPv4/IPv6 services, making iRegister more substantial than a conventional low-cost shared-hosting operation.

Domain registration is one of its strongest areas. More than 300 domain extensions are supported, with particular expertise in .AL domains. A .AL registration costs around $14/year, with renewals at a similar level and domain transfers available without a transfer fee. Foreign individuals and businesses can also use .AL domains through a trustee or local administrative-contact service when required by the Albanian registry rules.

Registration of .com.al, .net.al, .org.al and .edu.al is also available for applicants meeting the respective eligibility requirements. .AL domains have a grace period after expiration, while DNS changes and ownership-related administration can be handled from the customer account.

Shared Hosting is Linux-based and divided into Individual and Business plans. Individual packages range from very small starter accounts to considerably larger plans with up to 20 GB storage, while Business packages expand the allocation considerably and can reach approximately 300 GB storage with support for multiple domains, databases and email accounts.

The shared platform includes Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL, phpMyAdmin, Zend Engine and ionCube Loader. Multiple PHP versions are available, along with antivirus protection, password-protected directories and email services. Mail filtering uses ConfigServer MailScanner for spam and malware protection, with quarantine functionality available to users.

Backup functionality is available for hosting accounts, including restoration of deleted files or complete websites. Shared hosting comes with a 100% uptime guarantee, although customers using the service for business-critical applications should still review the applicable service terms and recovery conditions.

VPS Hosting is provided from Tirana and includes Basic, Silver, Gold and Pro configurations. Resources start at approximately 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 20 GB storage and scale to configurations with 8 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and 80 GB storage. VPS accounts include an IPv4 address, IPv6 /64 on request and unmetered 1 Gbps connectivity subject to fair-use conditions.

Dedicated Servers are also located in Albania. Configurations include Intel Xeon E3 and Xeon E5 hardware, with single- and dual-processor options. Depending on the server, RAM allocations range from roughly 8 GB to 32 GB, while storage configurations include multiple HDDs suitable for RAID or larger single-drive installations.

Dedicated servers normally include an IPv4 /29 allocation with five usable addresses, IPv6 /64 and unmetered 1 Gbps connectivity. A 10 Gbps network port can be added for customers requiring higher throughput. RAID 1 configurations are supported, root access can be provided, and both self-managed and assisted administration are possible.

A specialized Online SHOP Hosting package is available for businesses in Albania and Kosovo. It combines a VPS environment with 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB storage, unmetered 1 Gbps traffic, CWP Pro, clustered MySQL and a .AL domain. This type of package is particularly suitable for local e-commerce projects that prefer Albanian infrastructure.

Business collaboration and email services are available using Google Cloud technology. The customer area still uses the older "Google Suite" or "G Suite" terminology in places, even though Google's current commercial product family is Google Workspace. Business Starter and Business Standard packages provide Google-hosted email, storage and collaboration tools with different storage allocations.

The SSL catalog is extensive and includes certificates from Comodo, Sectigo, DigiCert, GeoTrust, RapidSSL and Thawte. Options cover Domain Validation, Organization Validation, Extended Validation, Wildcard, Multi-Domain/UCC and Code Signing requirements. Entry-level PositiveSSL certificates are available alongside substantially more expensive business and EV products.

Web-development services are also available, ranging from straightforward business websites and blogs to e-commerce projects. This allows customers to combine development, domain registration, hosting and infrastructure with one local supplier.

The main company presence is available in English and Albanian. The client-management platform supports considerably more languages, including Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Albanian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.

The company website retains an older design and some legacy product terminology. Several headline prices also differ from the values inside the current ordering system, so the shopping cart is the better reference for actual purchasing costs. The core hosting and domain operation is nevertheless considerably more substantial than the dated presentation might suggest.
