The formal InterNetWORX business started in 2005, and the company later became widely known under the shorter INWX brand. Today, INWX is best understood as a specialist registrar with practical hosting services rather than a classic VPS or dedicated-server provider.

The strongest part of the INWX offer is domain registration. They support more than 2,200 domain extensions, including standard, country-code, exotic, and restricted TLDs. Their domain services include domain search, domain transfer, WHOIS privacy, trustee / local-presence services, DNS management, Dynamic DNS, AuthInfo2 for .DE domain recovery, and a professional API for customers who need automation.

Their hosting range is more compact but still useful for domain customers. The main products include Shared Hosting, Email Hosting, and SSL/TLS Certificates.
