Init7 (Schweiz) AG is a Swiss internet and network infrastructure provider based in Winterthur, active since around 2000 and founded by network engineer Fredy Künzler. Instead of classic shared hosting or domain bundles, they specialize in high-performance internet access, IP transit, dark fiber and datacenter connectivity, aimed at both private users and demanding business customers, including other ISPs and hosting companies. • Easy7 targets everyday users who want reliable broadband without complexity. It delivers up to 1/1 Gbit/s over fiber or up to 500/100 Mbit/s over copper, always with a preconfigured FRITZ!Box router included as a rental device. IPv6 is native, while IPv4 access is provided via carrier-grade NAT, so no fixed IPv4 addresses are available on this entry-level product. Easy7 can be bundled with Zattoo TV via Zattoo Home at preferential pricing, making it a straightforward "unpack, plug in, surf" solution.
• Fiber7 is the flagship service aimed at power users, gamers, home-office workers and technically minded customers. It offers 1/1, 10/10 or 25/25 Gbit/s symmetric fiber with no artificial throttling, and includes TV7 at no extra cost. Customers can choose their own router, receive native IPv6 with a static /48 prefix and may add fixed IPv4 addresses or even a /29 IPv4 subnet for an additional monthly fee. Fiber7 is positioned as "internet as it should have been from the start": low latency, transparent routing and an openly documented peering policy.
• TV7 is Init7’s internet TV platform, bundled free with Fiber7 (and compatible with other Init7 fiber products). It delivers more than 100 channels in German, French, Italian and English via an app on Apple TV and Android TV, plus multicast and HLS playlists for use with third-party players. TV7 focuses on live broadcast TV rather than heavy cloud features and is tightly integrated into the Init7 network for stable quality.

For business and infrastructure customers, Init7 extends its core competencies into a structured portfolio of connectivity products:

• Fiber7 Business Internet packages internet access up to 25 Gbit/s with a managed customer-premises device, at least one fixed IPv4 address and a modular choice of service levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum). The offer is designed to be assembled from four modules: access bandwidth, IPv4 addressing, service level and the optional Backup7 failover module. This supports everything from small offices to larger corporate sites that rely heavily on cloud and on-premises servers.
• Datacenter Access targets customers with servers or racks in Swiss or international datacenters. Bandwidths range from 1 to 100 Gbit/s, delivered either as Direct Internet Access (DIA) or as IP transit with BGP multihoming. Capacity is guaranteed over a redundant IP backbone, with flexible upgrade paths and traffic statistics. IPv4 addressing is supplied at least as a /31 subnet, with additional blocks available as paid options. • Site Networking (Virtual Leased Lines / VLL) is aimed at companies that need to interconnect multiple locations, datacenters or centralised server environments. Init7 connects sites over fiber or datacenter cross-connects and offers bandwidths up to 10 Gbit/s. Pricing is structured per site rather than per connection, with typical examples such as 10 Gbit/s over FTTH at a lower tariff and 10 Gbit/s via datacenter connectivity at a higher but still straightforward monthly fee.
• Ethernet7 (Carrier Ethernet Service, CES) is a newer product primarily for wholesale and multi-site enterprise customers. It provides MEF-compatible Layer-2 VPN connectivity using Cisco EVPN-VXLAN over FTTH point-to-point fiber. Ethernet7 can be delivered via NNI in more than 50 carrier-neutral datacenters in Switzerland and Europe, and is available at around 2 million FTTH locations, corresponding to the majority of fiber-equipped homes and commercial premises in Switzerland. All active Layer-2 and Layer-3 components in this network are operated directly by Init7, with no reseller infrastructure in between, which is very relevant to ISPs and hosting companies that need predictable performance and control.
• Backup7 provides automated failover for Fiber7 Business connections. A dedicated router and a permanent encrypted VPN tunnel over a secondary internet connection (from any third-party provider, such as cable, DSL, 5G, etc.) ensure that, in case of failure of the primary line, traffic and IP addressing fail over within seconds using VRRP. Public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses remain unchanged, making it suitable for services like VPN concentrators, self-hosted applications or small hosting environments that cannot afford downtime.
