Ikoula is a long-standing French hosting provider that has been operating since 1998. The company was founded by Jules-Henri Gavetti and Caroline Mertens and is part of the Sewan Group ( sewan.eu ) from 2021, but it still presents itself clearly as a 100% French expert in web hosting, cloud computing and managed services, with the ambition to be "the hosting company you want to recommend." Ikoula positions itself between classic web hosting and full IaaS: they own and operate their own data centres in France, run a 100 Gbps network core, and back that with managed services, cybersecurity and collaboration tools for businesses.

Their catalogue is broad but fairly well structured. For classic web hosting, Ikoula offers Linux and Windows shared hosting with low-cost packages aimed at personal sites, blogs and small business projects. Linux hosting is positioned for open-source developers (PHP, MySQL, popular CMS), while Windows hosting targets ASP.NET/SQL Server projects and is advertised as one of the cheapest options on the market in that niche. Shared plans include 1-click installers for CMS such as WordPress, Drupal and Joomla, multi-domain support on a single account, and a built-in web interface where customers can manage sites, statistics and basic backups. Domain registration is integrated, with more than 150 extensions available and at least one domain name free for the first year when combined with web hosting.
