HostSlim is a European hosting and infrastructure provider founded in 2008 by Ralph A. Karseboom. The business began in the Netherlands and now operates through HostSlim OÜ, an Estonian company registered in Tallinn. The present Estonian legal entity was incorporated on July 8, 2024, while the HostSlim brand and hosting operation date back to 2008.

The company serves more than 20,000 customers and operates its own servers, racks, network equipment, IP resources and autonomous system. Its services cover everything from inexpensive website hosting to private infrastructure, rack space and BGP connectivity.

The product range includes Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, KVM VPS, OpenVZ VPS, Managed VPS, Dedicated Servers, Managed Dedicated Servers, Colocation, IP Transit, RIPE LIR services, ASN sponsorship, IPv4 and IPv6 assignments, BYOIP routing, Streaming Hosting, Domain Registration, DDoS Protection, an AI Website Builder and custom infrastructure deployments.

Shared hosting is available in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Tallinn, Estonia. The platform uses NVMe storage, LiteSpeed, LiteSpeed Cache, CloudLinux, DirectAdmin, WordPress Toolkit, Installatron, SSH, Git, Redis, Memcached, Composer, WP-CLI, PHP 7.4 and PHP 8.x, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3. SSL certificates, email hosting, databases, daily backups, DDoS protection and the AI website builder are included.

The Amsterdam Web Starter package includes 5 GB NVMe storage, support for 25 websites, one CPU core and 1 GB RAM. Larger plans reach 300 GB NVMe storage, 500 websites, eight CPU cores and 4 GB RAM. Tallinn uses a similar product structure, although its entry package includes 10 GB storage and support for one website. Resource allocations therefore depend on the selected hosting location.

Reseller Hosting uses a white-label DirectAdmin environment with custom nameservers and separate customer accounts. Resellers receive LiteSpeed, NVMe storage, WordPress Toolkit, Installatron, SSL certificates, backups, Redis, Memcached and the AI site builder. Packages range from 60 GB storage and 25 websites to 500 GB and 500 websites, with services available in both Amsterdam and Tallinn.

The VPS catalog includes KVM and OpenVZ virtualization. KVM provides stronger isolation, dedicated kernels and better compatibility with custom operating systems, while OpenVZ offers a more economical container-based environment for websites and lightweight applications.

VPS plans include full root access, SSH, SSD storage, IPv4, native IPv6, a shared 10 Gbps network port, DDoS protection, instant provisioning and self-service operating-system installation. Custom configurations, NVMe storage and Windows licensing are also available.

Customers who prefer a maintained environment can choose a Managed 10 Gbps VPS in Amsterdam or Tallinn. Management includes operating-system updates, security patching, monitoring and daily off-site backups. Docker and Kubernetes workloads are also supported.

Dedicated Servers form an important part of the HostSlim portfolio. Amsterdam inventory ranges from economical older-generation systems to dual-Xeon servers with as much as 256 GB RAM, SSD or NVMe storage and 10 Gbps connectivity.

Managed dedicated servers include operating-system updates, security maintenance and 24/7 monitoring. Unmanaged servers provide full root access and leave system administration to the customer.

Tallinn dedicated servers concentrate on dual-processor systems with up to 256 GB RAM, SSD or NVMe storage, 1–10 Gbps ports and either large traffic allowances or unmetered 1 Gbps connectivity. Standard features include ECC memory, IPMI access, IPv4, a /64 IPv6 allocation, DDoS mitigation, Linux or Windows reinstallation, optional BGP sessions and RIPE-assigned IP space.

Colocation starts with individual 1U server placements and extends to 2U, 4U, half cabinets, full cabinets and custom multi-rack deployments. Colocation includes redundant power, network access, IPv4, IPv6, IPMI connectivity, DDoS protection, 24/7 facility access and remote-hands assistance.

Network operators can purchase IP Transit from 100 Mbps up to 100 Gbps. A BGP session is included, with either full routing tables or a default route. Transit can be delivered inside HostSlim facilities or extended through dark fiber to another location.

Customers normally need their own autonomous system for BGP, although HostSlim can arrange ASN sponsorship and administration through its RIPE NCC LIR status. IPv4 and IPv6 assignments, IRR objects and BYOIP routing are also available.

Streaming Hosting supports SHOUTcast and Icecast, Auto DJ, high-bitrate streams, large listener limits and unlimited transfer. Entry packages begin below €10 per month.

Domain registration and transfer are available through the customer portal. Supported extensions include .com, .net, .org, .nl, .de, .be, .eu, .co.uk and .uk.

The included AI website builder can create a responsive website from guided questions. It includes templates, visual customization and basic search-engine optimization tools.

HostSlim also offers Free Speech Hosting for lawful content. Customers can publish controversial or unpopular opinions, but all content remains subject to European law, the Acceptable Use Policy and restrictions against illegal, fraudulent, abusive or disruptive activity.

The website uses a modern, responsive layout and is primarily available in English. The customer portal supports Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
