Hostry is an international hosting and cloud-services provider established in 2006. HOSTRY LTD. operates from Limassol, Cyprus, while Hostry Compute, LLC maintains a business address in Wilmington, Delaware. The Cyprus company was registered in December 2021, although the Hostry hosting project has a much longer operating history.

The company has a team of approximately 35 people and provides shared hosting, KVM VPS, storage VPS, Windows VPS, application VPS, Minecraft and game servers, dedicated servers, domain registration, free DNS, SSL certificates, CDN services, a website builder and VPN subscriptions. This is a particularly broad portfolio for a provider whose entry-level services remain accessible to individual users and small businesses.

The regular KVM VPS service starts at approximately $6 per month. Entry configurations include one virtual CPU, 1 GB of RAM and 30 GB of NVMe storage, while higher packages add more processor cores, memory and disk capacity. Customers receive root access, KVM virtualization, dedicated resources, SSD or NVMe storage and rapid server deployment.

Linux and Unix operating systems are available across the virtual-server range. Hostry also provides Windows installations and specialized storage configurations for customers who need a particular operating environment.

The storage VPS packages are suitable for backup repositories, personal cloud installations, large file collections, Nextcloud and Seafile. Available storage capacities extend from approximately 100 GB to 2 TB. These plans are more suitable for backups, archives and file hosting than for processor-intensive applications.

The Windows VPS range supports Remote Desktop, IIS, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, automation software and other Windows-dependent programs. A Windows license remains active for the duration of the service. Some service information still refers prominently to Windows Server 2012, so customers should confirm the currently available Windows Server versions before ordering.

Application VPS packages can be deployed with WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, OpenCart and PrestaShop, together with dozens of other content-management and e-commerce applications. These packages combine KVM virtualization with a preinstalled application, reducing the amount of initial server configuration required.

Hostry also provides game-server packages for Minecraft, ARK, Rust, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty and other multiplayer games. These plans include SSD storage, a static IP address, DDoS protection, root access, automated backups and a game-server management panel.

The shared-hosting service uses cPanel and supports websites, email accounts, MySQL databases, FTP access, SSL certificates and automated application installation. The Basic plan supports three websites, while Advanced and Pro plans allow unlimited websites within the applicable account limits.

Shared-hosting customers receive SSD storage, unmetered data transfer, Apache and Nginx support, Softaculous and WordPress management tools. More than 380 applications can be installed automatically. Free migration is available, with many transfers completed within approximately 24 hours.

Customers can choose between European and United States hosting regions. Amsterdam is the European location clearly associated with the shared-hosting packages, while the exact American facility should be confirmed during checkout.

The dedicated-server range is concentrated in Amsterdam and Dallas. Available systems include Dell PowerEdge R200, R210 II, R220, R320, R420 and R430 servers. These machines can be ordered as self-managed or managed systems and include root access.

Linux, FreeBSD and Windows Server operating systems are supported. Deployment normally takes up to six hours, and custom hardware configurations can be requested. The lower-cost servers use older processor generations, but they can still be practical for backups, development environments, secondary infrastructure and moderate production workloads.

Domain registration covers more than 400 extensions, including common generic domains and country-code extensions. Registration, transfer and renewal prices vary by registry. Eligible extensions include Whois privacy without an additional registration charge, although privacy protection is not supported by every domain registry.

Hostry’s free SSL tool generates Let’s Encrypt certificates for as many as 100 domains or subdomains. Private keys can be generated directly in the browser when Web Crypto API support is available. The tool also accepts customer-generated certificate signing requests. Wildcard certificates are not included through this particular generator.

The Free DNS service supports unrestricted DNS records and queries, DDoS protection, secondary DNS functionality and worldwide propagation. DNS zones and records can be managed from the customer account. A "400% SLA" is associated with the DNS service, although the precise compensation calculation should be confirmed before relying on it contractually.

The proprietary website builder includes responsive templates, e-commerce functions, plugins, SEO tools, online payments and custom-domain support. The free Entrepreneur package includes 1 GB of storage and 2 GB of bandwidth. Paid Business and Corporation packages increase storage, bandwidth and template availability.

Paid website-builder accounts can create websites in as many as 49 languages. The Hostry storefront itself operates primarily in English, and products are priced in US dollars. The website has a modern responsive structure, although some service descriptions contain grammatical problems, outdated software references and inconsistent figures.

The VPN service is available through Android and iOS applications. It includes a free package together with paid monthly, six-month and annual subscriptions. Features include multiple simultaneous connections, streaming and peer-to-peer support, split tunneling, a kill switch, malware filtering and smart DNS.

VPN reseller and white-label options are also available. The number of VPN servers and countries differs between some service sections, so the currently active locations should be confirmed inside the application.

Hostry continues to provide CDN services, including a free CDN option for smaller websites and new projects. Content delivery is distributed through international infrastructure and external delivery partners. Paid capacity and traffic requirements can be configured according to the needs of the website.
