Hostperl is a New Zealand web hosting and infrastructure provider with roots going back to 2014. The business originally operated under the Hostolx name in India, with the Hostperl brand introduced in 2017 and the operations consolidated under Hostperl in 2019. Raman Kumar has been closely associated with the business throughout this development and remains its director and majority shareholder.

The current New Zealand legal entity, HOSTPERL WEB HOSTING LIMITED, company number 9348617 and NZBN 9429052902383, was incorporated on June 10, 2025. Its ownership is divided between Raman Kumar with 60% and Kanchan Sardana with 40%.

Hostperl has grown well beyond conventional entry-level web hosting. Its current portfolio includes Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, KVM VPS, Docker VPS, Dedicated Servers, Colocation, IPv4 and IPv6 Leasing, BGP/ASN services, DDoS protection, Managed WordPress, Ghost CMS, Directus, n8n Hosting and Web Design. This provides a practical upgrade path from an inexpensive hosting account to virtual servers, bare-metal hardware, rack space and advanced network services.

The Shared Hosting platform combines NVMe storage, LiteSpeed, cPanel, SSL certificates, email accounts and automated backups. The entry package supports one website with 5 GB NVMe storage, while larger plans increase the number of websites, storage and backup frequency. The Plus plan includes five websites and 25 GB NVMe storage, while Pro supports ten websites and adds daily backups. The current allocation for Pro is 15 GB, despite the lower-priced Plus package carrying 25 GB, so customers requiring substantial storage should check the selected configuration before completing an order.

Reseller Hosting uses the same NVMe-oriented environment together with WHM, individual cPanel accounts and white-label operation. Packages range from smaller reseller configurations with 20 customer accounts and 50 GB of storage to much larger packages with several hundred gigabytes of NVMe capacity. It is well suited to agencies, developers and smaller hosting businesses that want to manage separate customer accounts without operating their own server.

The KVM VPS range provides isolated virtual machines with root access, NVMe storage, IPv4 connectivity, DDoS protection, operating-system reinstalls, VNC console access and resource monitoring. Entry configurations start with 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe and 1 TB of transfer, while larger packages reach 8 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and 200 GB NVMe. Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux are among the supported Linux distributions.

A separate Docker VPS service uses the KVM platform with Docker Engine already installed. This makes it practical for containerized web applications, APIs, development environments, Docker Compose stacks and smaller SaaS deployments without requiring the customer to prepare the container runtime manually.

The Dedicated Server portfolio extends beyond New Zealand and includes service locations in New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands and India. Customers receive exclusive hardware resources, root-level administration and access to options including IPMI, DDoS protection, Linux or Windows Server and commercial server-management panels. Available hardware ranges from economical Xeon-based systems to larger configurations with significantly more memory, storage and network capacity.

New Zealand customers can also use Colocation Hosting in Auckland. Services begin with individual 1U and 2U allocations and extend to quarter racks, half racks and full 42U cabinets. Features include redundant power, carrier-neutral connectivity, management connectivity, reverse DNS, IPv4 resources and remote-hands assistance. Higher-capacity network ports, additional power, IP resources and enhanced DDoS protection can be added where required.

Hostperl is particularly strong in network-oriented services. IPv4 and IPv6 Leasing is available for customers needing address space without acquiring permanent allocations. IPv4 blocks extend from /24 through /21, while IPv6 options include /32 and /29 allocations. ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, LACNIC and AFRINIC resources can be accommodated, together with reverse-DNS delegation, reputation screening, abuse monitoring and BGP announcements.

The BGP / ASN Setup service adds eBGP configuration, BYOIP, RPKI and ROA assistance, multi-homing, prefix filtering and traffic-engineering support. These capabilities make Hostperl particularly useful for smaller hosting providers, VPN operators, enterprises and network administrators that need direct control over their own IP resources.

DDoS Protection is integrated throughout the infrastructure range. VPS and dedicated services include baseline protection, while more advanced requirements can use traffic scrubbing, continuous detection, Anycast techniques and Layer 3 through Layer 7 mitigation.

Hostperl also has a growing managed application portfolio. Managed WordPress Hosting combines NVMe storage, LiteSpeed, SSL, automated backups, malware protection, email hosting and cPanel. Higher packages add staging, WP Toolkit, SSH, Redis, increased resource allocations and more frequent backup schedules.

Ghost CMS Hosting includes the Node.js, database, NGINX, SMTP, SSL and backup components needed to operate Ghost without assembling the underlying stack independently. Directus Hosting includes managed PostgreSQL and adds features such as Redis, queues and increased infrastructure resources on larger configurations. n8n Hosting targets workflow automation, with larger plans introducing PostgreSQL, Redis queues, multiple workers and private infrastructure.

Web development is another part of the portfolio. Web Designing packages cover frontend and full-stack projects using technologies such as Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and Python. Some packages combine development work with KVM VPS hosting and business email, creating an integrated development-and-hosting option for business projects.

The website operates in English, and no multi-language/localized version exists. Pricing is offered in more than one currency depending on the service. Core infrastructure products commonly use USD, while several New Zealand-focused managed applications and colocation offers use NZD.
