HOSTKO is a Slovenian web hosting and domain-services provider active since 2003. The HOSTKO brand is operated by HOSTKO, internet storitve, d.o.o., headquartered in Ptuj, Slovenia, with its core hosting infrastructure in Ljubljana. The current limited-liability company was registered on June 30, 2009, while the hosting activity itself dates back to 2003. Gorazd Majcenovič is the director and sole owner of HOSTKO d.o.o.

HOSTKO is primarily oriented toward the Slovenian market. The main website is in Slovenian, prices are expressed in EUR, and hosting interfaces such as cPanel are available in Slovenian. An English option is available within parts of the billing and customer area, although the overall service remains much more convenient for Slovenian-speaking customers. The company has accumulated more than two decades of hosting experience and serves more than 10,000 users.

The service range covers Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Business Hosting, DirectAdmin Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Email Hosting, managed private email servers, VPS, domain registration and transfers, DNS, Premium Anycast DNS, SSL certificates and an AI Website Builder. Drupal and Joomla can also be hosted on the standard hosting infrastructure.

Shared Hosting is based on NVMe storage, LiteSpeed Enterprise, Imunify360, free SSL and cPanel. SH START includes 10 GB for one website, while SH PLUS increases the allocation to 20 GB and two websites. SH MAXI provides 35 GB for three websites and adds Node.js and Python support, while SH MAXI+ provides 60 GB for as many as five websites. The larger plans include unlimited email accounts and generous database allowances.

Free website migration is available, and an account can be upgraded later by paying the difference for the remaining subscription period. This makes it practical to begin with a smaller plan and move upward without rebuilding the account.

The shared infrastructure combines LiteSpeed with LSCache, Imunify360 security and automatic Let's Encrypt SSL certificates. NVMe storage is standard, while Node.js and Python are available on selected plans. Shared and reseller accounts receive nightly backups to a separate backup system, with 14 daily restore points plus one monthly copy. JetBackup gives customers direct access to available restore points.

WordPress Hosting uses NVMe storage, LiteSpeed Enterprise, LSCache and Redis Object Cache. WordPress Manager handles installation and common administration tasks, while staging, WP-CLI and Git are useful for developers. Imunify360 provides malware and application-level security. The WordPress environment runs on AMD EPYC-based infrastructure in Ljubljana.

WP START includes 10 GB, WP PLUS 30 GB and WP MAXI 75 GB. These packages are suitable for ordinary WordPress sites, business websites and WooCommerce projects, with the larger allocations intended for more demanding installations.

For resource-intensive websites, Business Hosting provides considerably higher CPU and RAM limits than conventional shared hosting. MiniPro includes 30 GB NVMe, four vCPU and 4 GB RAM for €30 per month. S Pro provides 60 GB, six vCPU and 8 GB RAM for €60 per month, while M Pro offers 90 GB, eight vCPU and 12 GB RAM for €90 per month.

These Business plans include cPanel, LiteSpeed Enterprise, Redis, AccelerateWP, CloudLinux Pro, Imunify360, Node.js, Python, SSL, email accounts and SQL databases. Backups run several times per day. This range is particularly suitable for WooCommerce stores, larger company sites, agencies and portals that need more resources but do not require a complete VPS.

HOSTKO also maintains a separate DirectAdmin Hosting platform. It combines DirectAdmin in Slovenian with LiteSpeed, AMD EPYC processors, NVMe RAID 10 storage, SSL and scheduled backups. D-INTRO starts with 3 GB of storage, D-START provides 10 GB, D-PLUS 20 GB and D-MAXI 50 GB. Node.js and Python are included on the larger packages. DirectAdmin gives customers a practical alternative to cPanel while remaining on the same HOSTKO infrastructure.

Email Hosting supports IMAP, POP3, SMTP, webmail and compatibility with standard email clients such as Outlook. Anti-spam and anti-phishing protection are included. mMIKRO starts with 10 GB at €1.75 per month, mMINI provides 15 GB from €3.50, and mS includes 25 GB from €4.08. Larger packages are available for businesses with greater mailbox requirements.

Mailbox size is not restricted by a separate per-mailbox limit, so the total storage capacity of the selected package becomes the practical storage ceiling. cPanel is used for email-account administration.

Companies requiring isolated mail infrastructure can choose a managed private email server. vBOX1 starts from €95 per month and includes 100 GB, four vCPU, 4 GB RAM, backup and cPanel Solo. vBOX2 increases storage to 200 GB for €150 per month, while larger customized systems can reach multi-terabyte capacities.

These managed mail systems receive dedicated resources, their own IP address, anti-spam and phishing protection, SSL/TLS, monitoring, updates and 24/7 administration. Backup retention includes multiple daily and monthly recovery copies, making the service much more appropriate for organizations that want a managed business-mail environment rather than maintaining their own mail server.

Reseller Hosting uses WHM together with separate cPanel accounts. RS-Start provides 15 GB and up to ten cPanel accounts, RS1 provides 30 GB and up to 20 accounts, while RS2 increases storage to 70 GB and supports as many as 30 accounts. Larger RS3 and RS4 plans are available for agencies with higher requirements.

The reseller platform includes SSL, email, LiteSpeed and WHM, while the higher plans add more security and backup capabilities. It is a familiar cPanel/WHM environment, making it suitable for web designers, developers and small hosting resellers that want to manage multiple independent customer accounts.

The KVM VPS range provides virtual servers with root access on AMD EPYC processors and NVMe storage. AM1 costs €13.95 per month with 40 GB NVMe, one CPU and 3 GB RAM. AM2 costs €19.95 with 60 GB and 4 GB RAM, AM3 costs €30 with 80 GB, two CPU and 6 GB RAM, while AM4 costs €60 with 120 GB, four CPU and 8 GB RAM.

Each VPS includes one IPv4 address, unmetered traffic and network connectivity listed at 100 MBps. cPanel and backup services can be added separately. The management interface includes operating-system reinstallation, resource monitoring and noVNC console access. Unmanaged VPS packages without cPanel do not include HOSTKO backup by default, so customers using them should maintain their own independent backup system.

Domain Registration covers more than 2,000 extensions. HOSTKO is an official Register.si registrar for .SI domains and handles registration, transfer, renewal and DNS management through the customer interface. Standard DNS hosting is free and supports common record types such as A, MX, CNAME and TXT.

Premium Anycast DNS adds DNSSEC, IPv6, DDoS protection, load balancing, traffic statistics and globally distributed authoritative DNS. The Anycast platform uses 62 PoP locations across six continents and carries a 100% uptime SLA. Premium DNS costs €5.99 per year.

SSL options include automatically renewed free Let's Encrypt certificates with hosting, as well as commercial certificates for customers needing additional validation. A DV certificate costs €24.95 per year and an OV/business certificate €49.99 per year. Installation is free when the domain is hosted by HOSTKO.

The AI Website Builder is included with selected cPanel hosting plans without a separate monthly license. It combines visual editing, AI-assisted content generation, source-code access and a large selection of website templates. It is a useful option for smaller company websites, while WordPress remains the more flexible environment for WooCommerce, plugins and more complex projects.
