📄 Editorial Review

Hosting Connecticut, LLC (HostingCT) is a Windsor, Connecticut web hosting, website development, and digital marketing company founded in 2003 by Paula Pierce, who remains the owner and operator. The company mainly serves small and medium-sized businesses and nonprofit organizations, combining hosting with website development and ongoing technical assistance rather than focusing exclusively on low-cost self-service hosting.

Its services cover Linux Hosting, Windows Hosting, managed WordPress hosting, Cloud VPS, email hosting, domain registration, DNS management, SSL certificates, website monitoring, security, website maintenance, e-commerce, website design and development, SEO, social media services, merchant services, and email marketing. The company operates on a relatively small scale, with LinkedIn placing it in the 2–10 employee range, which is consistent with its more personalized service model.

Standard Linux Hosting costs $19.95 per month and includes 10 GB of disk space, 50 GB of monthly bandwidth, and two databases. Linux accounts use cPanel, include daily and weekly backups with seven-day retention, and provide access to HostingCT's hosting knowledgebase. A Windows Hosting w/Email (IG) package is also available at $25 per month.

WordPress Hosting costs $49.95 per month and includes unmetered disk space, 100 GB monthly bandwidth, SSL, two MySQL databases, unlimited subdomains, daily and weekly hosting backups, plus monthly WordPress backups and updates. This package is more appropriate for customers wanting HostingCT to handle part of the routine WordPress administration instead of maintaining everything themselves.

The Cloud VPS range includes several managed configurations. The entry plan costs $99 per month with 2 GB RAM, 40 GB disk space, two vCPUs, and 10 TB monthly transfer. A $149 package increases memory to 4 GB while keeping 40 GB of storage, two vCPUs, and 10 TB transfer. The larger $249 configuration provides 8 GB RAM, 150 GB disk space, ten CPUs, 10 TB transfer, AlmaLinux 9, cPanel, and fully managed administration. The two smaller VPS configurations continue to reference CentOS 8, so customers ordering those plans should confirm the operating system currently deployed.

Email is available independently of web hosting. Standard Email costs $50 per year for one 1 GB mailbox with SpamAssassin and secure POP/IMAP access. Premium Email costs $6 per month per mailbox and includes 25 GB storage, webmail, enhanced spam and antivirus protection, aliases, automatic Outlook configuration, mailbox and deleted-message recovery, custom filtering, and attachments up to 50 MB. Premium Plus costs $10 per month per mailbox and expands the service with mobile synchronization for contacts and calendars, 30 GB cloud storage, document sharing, and browser-based editing of documents and spreadsheets.

HostingCT also provides domain registration, transfers, renewals, DNS management, and domain parking. Common extensions including .com, .net, and .org are available at $19.95 per year, while Domain Privacy costs $12 annually.

Security-related services include SSL certificates starting at $99 per year, website monitoring, malware protection, anti-spam and antivirus measures, HTTP intrusion protection, CXS scanning, real-time threat monitoring, DDoS protection, malware remediation, and periodic external vulnerability scanning. An optional premium backup service can make complete website backups every hour and retain them for three days. Website maintenance is available at $100 per hour and normally carries a 48-business-hour completion target.

An older hosting catalog also remains available with Starter, Basic, Business, several eCommerce packages, and a Website Builder. These plans range from $9.95 to $39.95 per month and generally include smaller resource allocations than the newer Linux and WordPress services. Customers choosing between those packages and the newer catalog should confirm which configuration currently applies to their account.

The main HostingCT website is in English, while the secure customer portal supports a much broader selection of interface languages, including Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian. Product prices are denominated in USD.
